Will have to update my review in a few weeks
I am a woman with alopecia and as it so happens, my partner has recently had patches of beard fall out which may be alopecia too. Because I've been there and having tried everything i know that regaine for women had good results for me, of course it doesn't create miracles but it thickened my hair, i am hoping that this will also help my partner but too early to know right now. I will update my review in a month to see if we have improvement. Wish us luck! **Edit, its actually been half a year and my partner has been using this daily, the patches in his beard have grown back, some more than others. They have grown back a much lighter colour, some patches that have grown back are even white. its still very noticeable as as its not the same colour or texture as the rest of his beard, the new hairs are very soft like hair like baby hair but even tiny progress like this is huge for us. He is now able to add hair fibres to thicken his beard when going out as he now has hairs in the thin areas so the fibres have something to stick to. He uses Boldify hair fibres (and hair spray to make em stick) which looks very convincing!

Poor foam production.
Used Regaine foam for years but my last order has changed in quality, the thick foam has changed to a less dense foam which dissolves on your head before you rub it in . I put it in the fridge to check but still came out the same. A bottle normally lasts me a month but I have nearly run out after two weeks!

Works for brows, too!
So, I'm victim of the skinny 90s brow trend which never grew back despite not going near them or plucking even one hair in over 10 years. I think I'd just damaged the foilicles after plucking for so long during their formative years. I dye them cos I'm naturally fair and I spend a long time filling them in carefully. I know every hair on my brows lol After reading 8 million reviews online, I finally bought the men's extra strength stuff cos I'm after tough manly brows, of course and not these little lady-like fur lines on my forehead, obviously. I've been using this for about 9 weeks, sometimes x2 daily, sometimes once, and more often than not, forgetting for 2 or 3 days. No irritation or flakey skin, i do have pretty sensitive skin. Despite this, I can finally see obvious baby hair which are already making my brows look thicker, especially at each of the ends. I really didn't expect any growth considering I'm not religious with usage, plus its only been a couple of months instead of the year or so I'd been prepared for. The downsides is that I'm sloppy with application so I've got a fine and fair mono-brow also growing, no biggie. I've seen a lot of comments about the foam not working. Mine does come out as foam but turns to thin liquid almost immediately which is annoying. I should start using an eyeliner brush or something. It's not much of a drama. I use a 5p amount of foam per eyebrow and the bottle still feels like it has a decent amount in it. Anyways, I'll continue to use it and see what else happens and finally update with a photo cos its hard to get a photo of baby hairs lol

Worth sticking with – great results
Yes, it does get a bit runny and may not last the full month, but it’s been a real saviour for me. The initial shedding phase is frustrating and lasted a few weeks, but once I got past it, the results have been amazing. Definitely worth sticking with

Great and I’m shocked at the results
I’m actually amazed the amount of things I’ve tried to reverse being really thin on top this is already working nicely yes I will be on it for the rest of my life. But a few seconds a day for my hair I’m not complaining.

Sticky unpleasant residue
I’m surprised to find that nobody seems to have mentioned in other reviews that it leaves your hair tacky and slightly crispy feeling after use even hours later. Also you are supposed to use the equivalent of half a cap full to cover your whole head, this is virtually impossible! I would find it a challenge to get this amount to cover even half my head so I don’t think there’s any way this small can is going to last a month. No idea as to whether it’s working or not as I’m only a few days in but I expect I won’t continue simply because it makes my hair look like it needs washing and also feels sticky.

Foaming function broke.
I’ve only used the product a week but the foaming function broke which is very disappointing as it’s an expensive product. I’ve tried washing it to see if there’s a blockage but that hasn’t helped.

Working well so far
I have used now for 7 weeks and have started to notice some baby hairs growing also went through a phase of shedding between week 5-6. Need to use for several months to get proper results so I’ll wait any see. Key is daily application with a minimum of once a day.
