Strats come with 250k pots and we're designed for it. I don't use 500k on a High output humbucker like my JB. Calms the ice pick highs. **Q: what if i put this in the neck of my squier mustang? how would the wiring work?** A: It will work like any other guitar, tell your guitar technician to put a switch for splitting the coils (the hot rails has 4- conductor cable) and you'll have an extra tone. The technician have the knowledge to make any wiring combinations. **Q: will this pickup fit my standard strat pick guard** A: I put mine into a 91 strat plus. It fit perfectly. To the best of my knowledge it has a standard pick guard. **Q: Will this fit in a jackson dkny neck position?** A: Just measure the Dinky Jackson pickup of your guitar and then see in Seymour Duncan's official site the dimensions of Hot Rails. But even if the guitar needs a little ''opening'', a guitar technician or luthier can do it in less than an hour, very easy thing for a specialized guitar technician. Go for it, it's a great pickup. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The perfect middle pickup for any style to level up your strat *by on Reviewed in the United States 29 April 2025* I got 3 pickups for my fender strat HSS, a Seymour Duncan Invader in the bridge position, the hot rails in the middle position, and a quarter pounder for Strat in the neck position.My HSS is now an HHS which is cool, but I find myself using this (middle humbucker hot rails) pickup for almost all styles.I use the quarter pounder pickup in the neck position when I want to emulate a bass with an octave pedal, I use the invader in the bridge position if I'm playing some pop punk or punk rock, but I use the hot rails for almost everything else from rhythm to lead, blues, ragge, rock, etc.It is smooth and silky yet bright and dynamic sound is just beautiful.I don't nessecarily recommend the quarter pounder or invader pickups but I do recommend the hot rails. It will take your subpar default middle (or neck) single pickup and make it a wonderful humbucker that you actually enjoy using.I consider this to me a major upgrade for the cost.
