It does not come with a swivel connector. It is ridged. The end is designed to hang a bucket on it. We installed 3 of these around our school building. Very happy with them so far. Only has them for 4 months. We will probably buy more as we have 12 janitor's closets around our building. **Q: Is this product made in the USA?** A: This product is manufactured in China. **Q: Do these types of faucents need to be wall-mounted or can I leave that off?** A: Not a plumber but think it has to be mounted on wall or other flat surface. If water lines are galvanized pipe and are properly supported you may not need the support rod. If pipes are pvc or copper would think the support rod would be advisable. You may want to check with plumber for professional opinion, I am just a jack leg.
