Essence Magazine Prince Tribute Collector's Edition (2016) Single Issue Magazine

I really enjoyed reading this from the perspectives from the journalists that interviewed him throughout the years, and were entrusted to not only tell his story in their publications, but were also fortunate to be amongst his circle of friends. I feel like through this reading you will get a better sense of the type of human-being he was, at least I did. I also could tell that these individuals cherished their friendships with him so much so that once they got to know him they didn't have to boast about how well they knew him. Many of them had been invited to his home on numerous occasions, jam sessions, dinners and shows. He was truly a great friend and wanted to see his peers succeed and that was awesome to read about! I incredibly enjoyed reading from one of the journalist how he challenged to go after her dreams! I get the sense that he wanted people to be the 'master of their own creativity and destiny' and to never let someone own what's rightfully yours. He was phenomenal and I'm more enlightened about who he was as a person because, these ladies decided to share their personal memories of such an incredible man that they called friend.

This book is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 5 other tribute magazines and one book. This one of my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of the pictures are great. There are also several pictures that I've never seen before. I've been a devoted fan to Prince since "When you were Mine" so this was a true gift to me to see soo many great pictures and I thought I have seen them all. The articles are written very well and full of wonderful things about Prince and his amazing talent that he brought to the world.I would definitely suggest buying this tribute magazine even if you are not a Life Long Prince Fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE LIVE THE PURPLE PRINCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the book was well put together. I only rated it 4 stars because I made the purchase as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I know she is going to love it because she has all of his music and has been a Prince fan since her teen years and she's now in her 50's.

Beautiful tribute to the amazing late Prince I loved reading and seeing every photos nicely taken through Prince's life I'm still devastated that he's no longer with us but, his music lives on love me some Prince for sure! Go grab this great book if ur a huge Prince fan like myself! RIP Prince! 🙏🏾💜🎵☔️💯🎤👾🔮🎹👍🏿🎶.

Good quality, same basic info as many other quickly printed obits and info about a great artist but from a more intimate perspective. Of the group of tributes I've bought, this is one of the better ones.

What a nice group of photos and articles. They did a great job. articles are very interesting and photos aregreat...you must buy this even if you are not a collector.

A must have for any Prince lover or collector! Beautiful heavy gage paper and excellent quality photos of the Purple Prince! Lovely tribute to one of music's greatest icons of all time!!

this is by far one of the best tribute magazines I purchased, I read it cover to cover, the last interview is excellent writing and Prince really gave a good interview
