Review: Great starter kit! - This kit was perfect to help me dive right into the art of Bonsai! I purchased two plants from a local big box store and did ton of reading and YouTubing to learn about soil type, wiring, pruning and more. The best advice I can give so far is learn about the needs of the type of tree you plan to start with. Most bonsais thrive outdoors in sunlight/shade and need good draining soil. And or course, when you’re ready to shape and design your Bonsai composition you need great wire. I didn’t know what size would be best and this kit provided more than enough wire, of different sizes to get me started on my three trees. I still have a lot of fine wiring to do but patience is the game with all things Bonsai. Thanks! I will be ordering more products from Grow a Bonsai Tree Store.

This kit was perfect to help me dive right into the art of Bonsai! I purchased two plants from a local big box store and did ton of reading and YouTubing to learn about soil type, wiring, pruning and more. The best advice I can give so far is learn about the needs of the type of tree you plan to start with. Most bonsais thrive outdoors in sunlight/shade and need good draining soil. And or course, when you’re ready to shape and design your Bonsai composition you need great wire. I didn’t know what size would be best and this kit provided more than enough wire, of different sizes to get me started on my three trees. So far so good for anyone starting bonsai. Coating seems to last, and even left in rain, no visible corrosion or oxidation. A bit lighter than expected, easy to bend and manipulate by hand but for most bonsai branches the sizes are sufficient. Good variety as you probably wouldnt need more wire or larger wire unless youre pretty serious with your bonsai.
