Yes it’s epsom salt, basically just unscented

Q: Will this work for ground hogs, regular epsom salt is a deterrent, wondering if this would be the same?

I bought to use in making my own weed killer on gravel driveway and river rock walkway. Worked much better than over the counter type.

Q: How often should you apply this to your plants and yard?

I use it for palm trees, every few months. How much & how often depends on what you’re using it for. Your best bet is to speak to someone at your local plant nursery/garden center.
