Stunning Full Size Polished Copper Trotting Horse Weathervane with Adjustable Roof Mount, Increase Curb Appeal for Home, Barn, Shed or as Garden Decor

Bought this as a gift and I was more pleased than expected. Quite large and very shiny bright. Easy to assemble. My friend is overjoyed.

Figured I would be the 1st to review this product; I usually never buy an item with ZERO reviews. However; this item was looked the same as a wind vane that was $50 more so I pulled the trigger.The actual item is made from a beautiful shiny brass metal (I think it is genuine brass) and coated black painted metal. The metal stand that comes with this item is very, very well made. It made it very easy to install on the roof. I did not use the "expanding" type screws/bolts that I assume are used to attached the stand to the roof. My application just required 8 large lag screws. I did not caulk the holes, I think would be a good idea (but again my application did not require)My only real criticism is that the feather side of the arrow is supposed to be inserted into the tube and held in place by a small bolt. This part did not fit into the tube tightly and so the tail of the arrow is at a slight angle (not really perceptible from 60ft away) due to this part not fitting snug into the tube for fastening.Other than that it is beautiful and solidly made (The horse is hollow but if it was solid brass it would be super heavy and probably over $1,000)My wife was not happy about this initially, but she loves seeing this thing on the top of our barn.

It canme with the East West broken in half. It would have cost too much to send it back and being it was made in China, reserved the thought that IF it was replaced, the next one might be "crap" as well. Sooooo like all good thoughts, it is in the "Goodwill" box..perhaps someone else only cares if it had north and south...I happen to live near the ocean....so west and east "was" important.

Item arrived damaged. The North/South directional was broken, and the horse had dents/stains/scratches on it. Also it came with the wrong screws/anchors that the directions called for. I was able to weld the directional back together, and I used my own screws to anchor it to my shed.
