This mug looks and feels great. It has a wide flat bottom that is very stable. It keeps the temprature of the liquid within for a long time if the lid is on. It leaks if tipped over but only a little due in part to how the closing clip is made. It uses magnets to hold it in place, this makes it easy to clean and care for but not leak proof. Again, this is a great mug!

The insulation factor is highly effective. I use it at the computer console, at which I spend several hours each day. The mug is solid metal, inside and out, and very durable. It is too large and short for the console of my car, but there are other Yeti containers more suitable. While it is spill-resistant, with a tight-fitting cover, it is not completely leak proof if inverted. Nonetheless, it is unlikely to flood my computer keyboard should I accidentally tip it.

Holds plenty of coffee and keeps it piping hot. It would be great for soup as well, also very easy to clean. For me I use it only at home because of it's size, it doesn't fit into my cup holder in my truck. That's ok though I enjoy using it at home anyway.

Like every yeti product I have purchased this mug does not disappoint. The lid fits incredibly snug without being difficult to remove so it doesn't leak. The magnetic lid slider is amazing and is very satisfying to slide open and closed and likely won't wear out any time soon. I love that it's as wide as it is tall because it makes it feel very sturdy and hard to tip over by accident. But best of all it keeps my coffee hot/cold for hours. I primarily use it for coldbrew and if I put cold water with a cold coldbrew concentrate and ice there will literally be ice in it from morning till night. It's amazing.I highly recommend this mug (and all Yeti products honestly). The ONLY thing I wish it had or at least an option for it is a silicone bottom pad so when you put it down on something like a desk it would be a softer contact instead of the metal clank against the wood or glass. But it's not a big deal just a feature idea. Can probably find something for that from a 3rd party on Amazon.

This is a well-made, bomb-proof mug. My only critique (and one that is common with other review sites) is that it's a bit big and heavy. I tend to switch between using the handle and grabbing it like a tumbler, and the larger diameter of this mug is at the limit of what I can securely hold without using the handle. The MiiR 16 oz camp cup (which I also own) is a good option for a lighter, narrower mug that also holds a few more ounces of liquid, however, the MiiR handle is thinner and less comfortable to hold, and I prefer the smooth metallic finish on the Yeti (stainless steel and graphite versions).The thermal performance of the Yeti mug is good. Other review sites give it poor marks for insulation, but I find that it keeps 12 oz of coffee plenty hot for how long it takes me to drink it. To put some objectivity to the temperature claims, I tested it against one of the lightest (and most expensive) options in the Titanium Stay-Hot mug by Stanley and the temperature drops were comparable (a graph of the measurements is attached).As a final note, the pictures in the Amazon listing are a bit misleading with regard to the Yeti logo. The all-metallic mugs (SS and graphite) are shown with an embossed Yeti logo near the base of the mug, while the colored mugs are shown with an imprinted logo; however, this is only due to the all-metallic mugs being shown in a left-handed orientation while the colored mugs are shown in a right-handed orientation, i.e., there is a different logo on each side of the mug for all versions.

I bought this for my Dad as a gift and he absolutely loves it. He uses it in the mornings for his coffee and takes it to work. He brags about how his coffee stays warm until he finishes it. The quality is great. It’s durable and doesn’t leak. Put it in your cart now!

Great mug for beverages or soups and stews when out there enjoying tent life on the camp grounds. Lid is not leak proof though is virtually leak proof. You want leak proof, buy a bottle. Yeti products are durable and look great at the same time and last for a long time and do a great job keeping things hot or cold for hours as advertised. Yeti can’t be beat though there are comparable products out there, there is a reason that they come at a premium price. Highly recommended and I caught this Nordic Purps before it was gone on sale! Score! Thanks Yeti and Amazon!
