Review: Compact and perfect for an SSD - This drive enclosure is exactly what it says it is, which is great! It is inexpensive, light weight, small, and an aluminum shell, with a reasonably performant chipset and USB-C interface. It is USB bus powered and comes with a USB A to USB C cable, so everything is open to use it easily. No issues have shown themselves after several hundred gigs of transfers. Installation is quick and painless with the included tiny screw driver and screws, and it doesn't feel like things are going anywhere. The fit was great with an old half tb WD SSD, but probably wouldn't suggest a spinning HD with it as there isn't great dampening nor thermal transfer since you have to slide it against the aluminum rather than place the aluminum over the top of it and there is no airflow possibility. Perfect for SSDs though.

**Q: Can I use this type c to type c for a PlayStation 5**
A: Yes

**Q: Is there anyone has plastic case and aluminium case ? Any difference?**
A: I have both plastic cases and this case.  My transfer rates are equivalent.  The aluminum case is tougher in that it resists impacts better (e.g., rubs that would scratch the plastic do not bother the aluminum).  Two mounting screws in the aluminum case are visible, which is not true for the plastic case.  The aluminum case will be hotter during long transfers.  I had an hours-long file transfer and the case got noticeably hot.  I have not noticed that with plastic cases.  The manufacturer includes a heat shield for HDD drives.  The difference is this case is tougher than a plastic case.  Like a rugged phone.

**Q: Does this drive come with intelligent sleep mode where the drive turns off after a certain period of time due to inactivity?**
A: Yes, it has the intelligent sleep mode.

**Q: will this thermal throttle large data transfers  , when it heats up as so many  cheap  enclosures do?**
A: I regularly transfer 3-8gb video files and mine doesn’t seem to have any issues.

This drive enclosure is exactly what it says it is, which is great! It is inexpensive, light weight, small, and an aluminum shell, with a reasonably performant chipset and USB-C interface. It is USB bus powered and comes with a USB A to USB C cable, so everything is open to use it easily. No issues have shown themselves after several hundred gigs of transfers. Installation is quick and painless with the included tiny screw driver and screws, and it doesn't feel like things are going anywhere. The fit was great with an old half tb WD SSD, but probably wouldn't suggest a spinning HD with it as there isn't great dampening nor thermal transfer since you have to slide it against the aluminum rather than place the aluminum over the top of it and there is no airflow possibility. Perfect for SSDs though.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inexpensive, and it Works.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked this due to the sleek and solid frame. This is being exposed to the user, and ads a little class to the ordinary plastic everything else is made out of. The external is SATA3, true to USB 3 transfers from the disk. The plastic tray leaves a little to be desired, however, if you ham fist computer parts, you probably should go work on a dozer. It will get warm. Not hot. I have measure 92-95F. Super inexpensive for an enclosure that looks good sitting, transferring data, like it should. I would not use this as a travel buddy. I have other, more robust/insulated devices for that.
