The detailing and coloring are wonderfully realistic. Many expensive figurines are not half as good as this "toy." I have most of the Schleich African elephants and all are beautiful. (Have an Asian female and calf, too, and they are equally accurate.) **Q: Is this the same elephant that comes in the wild life starter set?** A: Not sure if it comes in a set. Nice size, sturdy, nicely weighted, but the quality of this one doesn’t seem as good as other Scleich animals we have. When it arrived, the tusks were bent so much they were touching, and the legs were slightly wobbly. The paint job seemed rushed with tusks and mouth barely painted, and some of the tusk paint on the face.
