This made my Starfields sound much better than the stock cable (and they already sounded very nice). I did often make use of the interchangeable connectors to switch from 3.5 single ended to 4.4 balanced depending on source. The frequent switching affected the connection and finally the wires inside the connector broke. In some sense this could be understandable with frequent switching of connectors, but it's only been a little over a month, and it's still a $60 cable and supposedly designed for the connectors to be switched between, so I'm disappointed. Perhaps an all purpose cable with switchable connectors is inherently subject to this kind of problem, but to break so soon is unacceptable. So now you know that the switchable jacks come at a cost.
