Elk Ridge8.5" Bone Gentleman Spring Assisted Open Hunting Folding Pocket Knife

This is a really great EDC tool. The knife is built very ruggedly and will no doubt hold up for a very long time. Highly recommended.By the way the scales are imitation (which means less maintenance and better durability over time). Still highly recommended.

I have several Elk Ridge knives ranging from larger-sized Bowies to more utility like blades such as this model. I can honestly say that Elk Ridge is one of the top leading brands for good reason with this particular knife being perhaps the best example. What you get here for $10 is an utterly robust, beautifully made knife that will have you thinking that contrary to popular belief the era of 'Great Buys' is still a reality if you research your product beforehand. Big thumbs up!

Nice knife. comes sharp right out of the box. Easy opening and the thumb lock works well with no play. A little heavy to carry in your pocket but ok when worn on your belt. One very small negative - the leather lanyard that comes with knife is too small for large hands.

Handle not as nice as it looks in picture. Nice knife all around. Sturdy and solid.Update: screws falling out of handle. Cheaply made.

The knife arrived on time (which is always the case with Amazon Prime, in my experience.) It's a very good looking knife, and while the handle won't fool anyone who really knows what bone is, it's still very attractive. The knife itself is both larger and heavier than I expected (yes, I know the measurements were posted) and it certainly has a quality feel to it. I was very pleased with the spring assisted opening...it really snapped open and locked into place. The blade has been sharpened, but it's not razor sharp...I'll need to work on the edge. It's a little too big and heavy for pocket carry, but if I can find a good belt holster for it, I may carry it that way. (I guess I could use the pocket clip on my belt, but I'm not real sure that's a secure way to do it.) If not, it will be my truck knife. In any case, I'm very happy with this knife, especially given the price!

So this knife has just arrived. After fiddling with it, the knife itself seems very solid. My issues with it come from the way it was displayed on the item page. Primarily I take issue with the bone handle. Now for the money I didn't expect it to be actual bone but I did at least expect it to be texturized as displayed in the photo. Turns out it isn't, handle is flat with gouges in it whith a crappy stain job. The other issue I had is that the knife is much wider than expected.Despite these complaints I will say the knife is pretty good for the price. Seems to be functional and robust

'Before I post my positive review for this knife I feel I need to remind everyone something. The first name in this type of knife is folding. No matter how well made whith what type of materials, the first function of this type of knife is to fold. The locking systems are great but anything can happen to cause a malfunction and if we don't use a little common sense, we might find out how sharp our knife is.'Speaking of sharp, this gem comes with a great edge on it. It is sturdy as well as aesthetically pleasing. The leather lanyard adds a touch of class to this beautiful tool. I care for my tools to much to pound on them with a hammer and then complain that the edge won't stay sharp or that it chipped. Takle care of your tools and they will take care of you

CAN YOU SAY OUTSTANDING .. yes I think you can because this knife if just that it's outstanding for the price you can't pass this up so quit reading this and go buy one wonderful size light weight SHARP so be safe when you handle the blade!! Just amazing I'm shocked how well made this is I should have bought more than one!
