VERY ez to put on. Lay it on the floor with the buckle parts facing up. I call myfog over and he stands in front of me where the harness is laid out flat. I simply pick him up by his front legs and place his paws in the harness. Grab the buckle and snap it together. You only need to adjust it once. Tip, . This can be put on backwards so what I do is when I lay it out I always have the fork end of the buckle at my right hand side. If you put it on the pooch backwards it does not fit comfortably. O! Buy two, one for Summer and one for winter , adjust it bigger to fit over his coat! Hope this helps...

If your dog is about 70 to 100lbs, I would get an xl. I have one dog who is 60 lbs and got her a large. My other dog is 100 and got him an xl. Hope this helps!

Proably a medium-sized that is ajustable small would be too small they're a medium-sized breed .
