The only issue is the wire color scheme from my original was different than the one received, but i knew that going into the purchase. It seems to be a comparable part to the Hunter Capacitor which originally came with my fan. I also had to make one hard splice from the original with a wire-nut to the new capacitor. That was because the Red (assume hot) was terminated into the Hunter coupler and the only way to connect was the splice/wire nut. One other thing to note in the installation, is the switches (on mine) had a release function for the wire end to come out, and took a bit of finagling to have the wires free out of the two switches (one the speed switch, the other the direction switch). The release function is what is commonly seen when wiring a 110V wall outlet or wall switch. If you've done any electrical wiring you will know what I'm talking about. Review: Perfect replacement, plenty of lead length, works great. - Easy to install, works perfectly. A very inexpensive alternative to replacing the entire fan. If you’re comfortable installing this replacement part, it installs quickly, less that 5 minutes. It’s been installed now for several months and I suspect it will last the life of the fan.
