Below is a very slightly edited version of a letter I sent to Moonster, unsolicited. I never write reviews, but I was so pleased with this bag I felt it only fair to spread the word."I am writing to tell you how pleased I am with your leather messenger bag that I bought off Amazon last Autumn (16 Inch Laptop Bag, order # [redacted]).It’s not just because it’s functional, with solid straps, the right compartments, sizes, etc.Nor is it just because it looks so good (I have received more compliments on this bag than any other I have owned).It’s because of its *durability*. Let me explain.A little while ago I was about to drive from home to a cafe to get some work done (and have a coffee, naturally). Of course, I had my Moonstone bag with me, filled with my road warrior items: iPad, iPad keyboard, Apple Pencil, “Tens” sunglasses in case, notebook, pen, battery pack, lightning cable, wallet, business card case, etc. On approaching my car in the drive, I saw that my wife’s car was blocking me in. So I put my bag down in front of my car, Got into her car and moved it to an on-street parking spot, went back to my car, and drove off. Almost immediately, I heard a strange scraping sound. After driving 100 ft or so, I stopped, looked in my rear view mirror, and saw something brown lying in the middle of the road. Had I hit an animal?! No, thank goodness. But then the horror of what actually had happened hit me: I had forgotten to pick up the bag I had left in front of my car, and that lump in the road was my Moonster messenger bag, dragged under my car for 50 ft or so!With that sinking feeling in my gut, I got out of the car (it’s a good thing we live on a sleepy residential drive) and walked back to retrieve my bag, prepared for the worst (and, to be honest, very embarrassed at my mistake). I picked up the bag - it was intact! I examined the contents — everything was there and, to my shock and amazement — NOTHING WAS BROKEN. Not the iPad screen, not the delicate Apple Pencil, not even the Tens sunglasses (although the case they were in was slightly crushed). I was so relieved, and decided right then to send you this note of appreciation.I attach some photos of the bag as it is now [I am not attaching these to the review because I don't want people to mistake them for photos of the bag as it arrived from Moonster!]. You can see that it is simply just a little more distressed than before, with some slight damage to the outer pocket zip and leather right above that. I’m also missing one of the circular snap covers (you don’t happen to have a spare I could buy from you, do you?). But given that the bag WAS DRAGGED FIFTY FEET OR SO UNDER MY CAR, I consider these to be minor blemishes, and continue to use your bag daily. Thank you for such a great product."

This leather satchel is an absolute gem! The rugged, distressed look gives it so much character while still maintaining a professional appearance. The capacious main compartment easily fits all my daily essentials, including my iPad Pro, iPad mini, and two A5 notebooks.What really sets this bag apart are the thoughtful details. My old laptop bag (Wenger) eventually gave up the ghost after many years of faithful service and I was about to buy another but a work colleague has a leather satchel kind of bag which I like so I thought I would investigate laptop bags in leather for a change. I came across this one with an extremely good write up and favourable reviews.I am very impressed - from the box that it arrives in, to the packaging and care that the bag has been wrapped in.This thing oozes class. The workmanship is top notch and the smell..........wow!There is enough room for my laptop (Microsoft Surface 12.45) and will certainly accommodate a larger laptop, my charger, mouse, diary, mobile and emergency charger, all in the main, split, compartment. Then there is another zipped pocket on the front and another on the back. There are also 2x pen holders & 2x pockets in the main compartment.The buckles are magnetic and strong enough to stay closed, the handle looks to be solid and robust and the shoulder strap is comfortable.I would definitely recommend this bag, so much so that I bought the pencil case to go with it that now stores my mouse and mobile WIFI dongle.

Been using this bag for a few weeks now and really liking it when I first got it the smell of leather was pretty intense, but that wore off after a few days of usage. The strap is comfortable and the size is perfect for a laptop, accessories and books. There are two inner pockets and two zipped outer pockets.Why not 5 stars? Two small changes I would make for this to be the perfect bag: it could do with a water bottle compartment - maybe just a collapsible section in the main part of the bag. And it could do with a removable shoulder pad for the strap, for when you have a lot of weight in it.But those are small things, I'd happily recommend this bag if it's your kind of thing.

Its 2026 and bag still looks as good as new.

This product is excellent and just what I was looking for. Rarely you find something in life that actually satisfies you with no complaints. The bag is minimalist enough and compact. The strap folds away easily so you can carry it by hand, which I personally prefer. The magnetic fasteners are a game changer. My previous messenger bag from a different manufacturer broke at the buckle and couldn’t be replaced, hence this purchase. I have just purchased some leather conditioner as suggested as I want to keep it as soft as it is now.

This particular bag was a big too big for a woman, but has lots of room and compartments to hold everything, a joy to use, but a bit too heavy for me. Was sad had to return but Sellers a joy to deal with, no problems, so understanding and resolved the return without question most promply. Very ethical and friendly company and products do not disappoint.

I really like the full grain leather look on this bag. With time is going to create a beautiful used patina on the leather and its going to look even more beautiful. Right from the opening u can see that is quality made from the thick leather itself through the zippers, magnetic closure, adjustable strap …. Inside it could fit a laptop up to 16inc. Everything is padded and it has a two open pockets, a laptop divided pocket, pen holder loops and two zip pockets from the outside. The rusted golden buckles really complimented the grain leather and make the bag looking beautiful. It has a lot of room to fit inside. I manage to put in (without looking overfilled )MacBook Pro 13, MacBook Air 11, two chargers for the laptops, kindle oasis, apple trackpad ,Apple magic keyboard, two sanddisk ssd drives, pens, notebook and all fit nice inside and didn't look overfilled but it gain a little on weight so I wouldn't carry it all day filled like that.Stitching is well done and all the handle is well made and double attached to the bag to last a long time. The Adjustable strap is also made from thick leather also well secured on the bag making it comfortable and long-lasting. My only complain is for the adjustable strap. I wish it was detachable from the bag when not used and I could only use the handle. I don't like when carrying the bag by the handle, the shoulder strap always moving around the bag. Not a big deal but sometimes it's annoying. Beside this bag I also own the leather laptop sleeve ( made from the same company) which is also a great sleeve but without any extra pockets. Its just one laptop compartment and its made from the same thick leather. No handle no strap. Over all great bag and with usage is going to be even better.For the craftsmanship on this bag I justify the price. Well worth it.

High quality laptop bag. I’ve received many complements on it, gives a versatile look that works with anything from casual attire right up to a full formal suit. Bag is also very functional with lots of useful pockets and compartments, and easily fits my 13” MacBook Air. Absolutely would purchase again.
