I'd characterize my Elite 95 nib as being a bit on the firm side of semi-flexible, so it likely has less flex than the Falcon. That said, it's a wonderful pen. The nib design goes back to the early 1960's at least. It's a joy to use. **Q: Does it really take a con-20 converter? I thought I needed the con-40 for this.** A: It can take both a CON-20 (aka the "squeezable" one) and a CON-40 both of which I believe give you .5 ML, which is kind of small. Also, due to the size of the pen itself and how the cartridge converter goes all the way up in the neck, preventing one from seeing a.) ink color, and (more importantly) b.) ink level. One remedy is taking an empty standard Pilot Cartridge and fill it with whatever ink you want using a blunt syringe. This will give you almost 1ml ink capacity. **Q: Which catridge can be used in Pilot Elite 95 fine nib?** A: I use Pilot/Namiki Fountain Pen Ink Cartridges "IC-100" on the box, UPC #69102, which I bought from Levenger where I bought other Pilot fountain pens, but my favorite is the Pilot Elite as it is so compact, love it! Hope this helps. **Q: Is the EF nib scratchy?** A: A little at first but the Namiki black ink that comes with it is exceptional for color saturation. Very black. It does not do that well on less expensive papers.
