Q: This has a lot of other ingredients besides Taurine. Are these all necessary, or at least helpful? Thank you!

They are all helpful if you have an animal with heart disease. If you look up each ingredient you will see how they support the heart. My 15 year old cat takes it mixed in with his raw diet.

Q: I noticed that the very last ingredient is silica. Is this not sand? Why would silica be an ingredient in this product?

Silica is a trace mineral rat helps connective tissue. It also helps keep the powder from caking. This formula was developed by a prominent holistic veterinarian. It was highly spoken of at a conference I went to.

Q: It's pretty humid here so now it's one whole clump inside the bottle. If it's clumped together, is it still okay or does that mean it's gone bad?

There's supposed to be a desiccating pack inside each bottle to prevent just that from happening; assuming it's closed properly after each use. If you don't see one, contact Now Foods and see if you can get a refund or replacement. I wouldn't give that to my animals, in case the humidity caused mold.

Q: Is this available in a non-chicken formula?

Looking at the manufacturer's website, the Cardiovascular Support only comes in chicken. Looks like the chicken bone broth is steroid free and Non-GMO though.
