These are very handy for the cast iron with no handles. I wish I knew about these sooner. Pretty good protection from the heat as far as grabbing the small side handles, but because they are small, you still may want to use additional padding with these to protection your knuckles or fingers from rubbing against a hot pot if you have larger hands! I learned the hard way! But, very good product, I have no complaints.

Pros: Easy to use, clean, comfortable, durable, versatile for lifting cast iron skillet safely from stove to oven and highly recommended. Only one silicone handle available at this price, but it's worth every penny! Slides on easily, great fit for my new Lodge cast iron skillet with short open handle style. Left 5 star review for that also if you're interested. Con: Not available in a set of two, but it's also a Pro because you can easily replace it when needed. I will purchase another one for my personal needs soon!

It’s good but you have to put it on only when you’re going to move the pot. If you leave it on, it will get too hot.

This far side frypan handle cover makes moving a hot cast iron Lodge frypan easy and much safer. It dose not fit tightly on the handle like the main handle cover Lodge also sells.

I like these, and they do work. Easy to wash. The only negative for me is that they fall off all the time. A snuggle fit would earn 5 stars. (Using them on a Lodge)

Lodge quality - could be a little cheaper.

Lodge makes the best cast iron pots and pans. They radiate heat so well that the handles become very hot. This rubberized handle protector prevents burns. I only use it to move the pan. When using a skillet with a long handle I use the other variety of handle holder. The red is a nice touch against the almost black pots and pans.

This is my second purchase. Very useful when you have lodge skillets. These provide good grip and excellent heat shielding. Would recommend them to anyone who is buying or bought a lodge skillet. They do fit other saucepans too
