VIZ-PRO Quick Mount Double Steel Security Door with Frame and Hardware, Gray Right Side-Active Leaf Outward

I had a considerable delay in getting this door installed, nothing due to the product. After looking at it on the garage floor by the wall where it should be for a couple of years, I finally got going on what needed to be done to get it installed. The building is of concrete construction, which lends itself to this type of security door but also presents challenges. There was a window at the install location which needed to be removed and the opening enlarged to the required measurements. I decided that although I have a concrete saw, I was not prepared to cut this opening accurately enough and hired concrete cutters to do that work. It was a very good decision and I ended up with a very good opening to work with. I just needed to add two 2x6's to the sides, (the window was a bit wider) and the height was cut within a quarter of an inch. The sides of the door adjust to a point from the sides but not the height. The final install works quite well and I was careful to place the door within the 6" concrete wall so that the doors would be able to open 180 degrees and be open fairly flat along the wall. In order to prevent the handles from hitting the concrete when open fully I made a combo door stop and holder to keep them held open solidly against the wall. I used some wood and two 18 inch magnetic tool holders from Harbor Freight (item 61199). This magnet mounted on wood attached to the concrete with anchors allows me to open the door and have it held securely to prevent the wind from whipping the door around which can and will happen otherwise. The quality of the door is good, there are minor issues with fitment but as you go through the install some tweaking is required. As long as your installation is straight an plumb you should have doors that fit and operate well. One thing I need to mention is that the support I got from the seller was excellent. Considering that there is a noted expiration date for support and I was well beyond that by the time I got it installed. I had a couple of times when I needed parts and they went above and beyond to supply what I needed without question. Even though these doors are not of US manufacture which I usually prefer, if properly installed they should last a very long time and be quite secure. It helps to look at whatever video or other material you can to get an idea of how they work so that you can pick the correct version for your application. In my case I needed a door opening to the outside as there is not quite enough clearance for such a large door inside with a car parked in the garage. Delivery was somewhat delayed as I recall, but this might vary depending on shipping at the time you order. It is a very heavy item and a pallet jack or forklift would be useful if possible. I don't know of a better product at this price point.

The door is hefty and substantial. Framing also HD. Instructions are a little confusing. Packing was decent but the nuts, bolts, screws are semi compartmentalized and they should be even better labeled. I thought I was missing some hardware but turns out it was all in a bag mixed with other pieces of hardware unlike many other kinds of packaging that separate and clearly label their hardware so you know what you are looking at. Communication with vendor is satisfactory in terms of response time. 4 stars due to confusing instructions and packaging confusion. Otherwise, 5 stars for product and delivery process. One last thing, try not to put pressure on any focused spot because that will dent the door. The rolled steel is not too thick so if you lean it on an edge of a stud, you will crease the steel surface.

OMG!!! We are so impressed with the customer service, the quality of these doors and how quickly they arrived! Comparable doors were much more expensive in our area and especially have the frame installation is so much easier. The quality of the finish on this door and they will be able to be painted to match our exterior trim paint was a big plus! More more vinyl for us!!

Was 6 days late Arriving and is missing instructions and insulation bolts and was dented on mian cover plate where doors close together

Like many of the reviews about this product, I too did not get all the required hardware for installation which was only silghtly disapointing. I got a great quality door which was what I expected. It was missing hardware, but after contacting the seller, they worked tireless to ensure I got what I needed. If you have ever worked in a shop, it is easy to see how things like this happen. If you want a great qaulity door for a good price, take a breath, calm down, and be patient as it is worth the minor inconvience of a simple email to the seller. I'm sure in the future it will only be better.

No instructions, most of the hardware is missing. I have handles but no hardware to connect the handles or hardware to latch onto the second door.

More than what I was expecting. These doors are more like a vault. Would have been nice to have a set of instructions but can be figured out easily enough. Was messing hardware but a quick email and the hardware was sent with no fuss. Yep, if I need doors again I would do these.
