Full of interesting information for each of the beaches around Seaham which can be visited with the aim of searching for, and collecting, sea glass. Each beach has a description and also shows the author’s collection from when they visited and the length of time she was collecting which gives readers an indication of what success they might have when searching each of the beaches.I would have loved more information on the history of the area, but it’s an interesting little book for anyone planning to visit the local beaches to go sea glass hunting.

I was disappointed with the information in book. Not only is it poorly written, but it’s basically just the author writing a diary of what she did and what she found. There’s very little historical information.I expected more for the price, on the positive side, the book is very nicely illustrated.

Very informative ! As we are not local this book gives a little history of the area , plus the beaches and how to get to them ,and an idea of what to look for .
