It makes 30 oz of coffee. I use 5 tablespoons of my favorite Starbucks ground coffee and 30 oz of hot water. I press it after 5 minutes and love the resulting brew. I hope this helps.

The only difference I’ve noticed is that some have tinted glass and others are clear. I know that the ones I’ve bought from Amazon are good quality. If you can find them at “Charbucks” (hehe) for $20 that’s a pretty good deal
