I have two Nikon cameras an needed a second flash and did not want to spend $500 + on a Nikon brand flash but wanted something that would last. This is comparable to Nikon SB910 (I have a SB900) and the recycle time is fast and having a rechargeable battery and not having to continue to buy AA batteries makes a HUGE difference.. for OCF,I can use it as a mater to trigger other flashes or as a slave when needed

This is the best on camera flash i've ever seen. I've been using this flash for a Baby Shower event on last Saturday for almost 2+ hours and almost clicked about 150+ images and still this flash didn't run out of battery. I also have Godox remote trigger, therefore for some part i used this as a slave flash and mounted it on a stand. I have to tell this is my savior. I went for a indoor event with minimal lighting on a rainy evening, and if at all for this flash, i would have stuck with higher ISO to get a brighter image. however with this flash on, i was able click all the above images at 100-200 ISO with 60-120 shutter speed. The high speed sync will also let me shoot the images at higher shutter speed. I had it both on-camera and off-camera on my Nikon D850. It was a piece of cake. This camera has both TTL and Manual mode, this gave me flexibility to assign the flash power required for the place and the type of shot. overall, Energy efficient + Economic and Excellent Flash addition to your arsenal.

Works well with the Nikon D850 and is a great buy my only complaint is there is a new generation out and it was not listed on the website. It works well and is accurate. I just like the latest and greatest, nothing wrong with the unit it a solid buy

I shoot architecture 12 hours a day, run them at full power, the recycle time is fantastic, and I only need one spare battery per strobe to continue working indefinitely. They're high quality - vastly better than the $470 Metz flashes I had before (which all broke from cheap construction) . Five stars... My only complaint is not being able to use them with my PocketWizard triggers without a PC cord and blocker for the shoe contacts. UPDATE: I've now bought four of these units, because when they work, they're great, but two have failed (one fires intermittently and the other not at all, seems like bulb is out). Hopefully the manufacturer will cover them, but that's a nuisance too. Even so, the lithium batteries last a very long time even shooting at full power. They do overheat (or overstrain the battery) at continuous full power use, but that is to be expected.

Reliability is important to me. Whether in your everyday life or in photography if you cannot rely on something to work as it is supposed to, then much of the time you are simply S.O.L. Thank goodness I’ve been able to rely on Godox, and their unique brand of versatile lighting over the last year. I’ve always been trepedacious about working with “budget flashes,” because in the past I’ve had significant reliability issues. Not so with Godox. When I first received my FLASH UNIT I quickly put it to work, shooting a wedding (see photos) right away. After easily navigating the user friendly menu before the wedding I was able to quickly differentiate between the different modes, and manipulated the power output beautifully in the various rooms I had to shoot in, which has been an issue in the past with cheaper “off brand” flashes. I shoot a lot of everything, but mainly glamour models, and the most important thing I needed to get from Godox was reliable lighting for shooting this style of photography. And the results are in…Godox for the win! Whether I’m shooting a glam model, wedding or a commercial shoot Godox has come through for me without incident, and I couldn’t be more happy to scream my loyalty to Godox for all to hear. I will never again judge a book, or a budget flash, by its cover again. Thank you Godox for making all of your equipment, whether it be your higher end strobes or budget flashes, durable and reliable.

Batteries last well on a full charge. This is my second flash. My first one lasted about 5 years. I still have my batteries from my original purchase. I barely use my lights since I bought this flash. Just add bounce gear and flash filters and your golden. So much easier to just cary this flash and some flash accessories.

This my second flash I already have v850 . The reason I chooses this flash battery life is much longer than the others. Easy to use. I use it with my Nikon D850 no problem at all. Highly recommended!

Per ora lo ho usato poco, comunque la prima impressione è ottima. Anche maneggiandolo da proprio l’impreSsione di essere solido e costruito per durare. Ottima caratteristica la batteria Li-ion. Aggiornerò dopo un uso più intenso. Aggiornamento dopo quasi due anni: Perfettamente compatibile, nulla da invidiare alle unità proprietarie dei produttori di fotocamere, costa molto meno! non mi sono assolutamente pentito dell'acquisto, usato principalmente "on camera" per foto amatoriali (vacanze, feste tra amici), non mi ha mai deluso. la batteria ha una autonomia lunghissima, anche con un uso medio-intenso è molto improbabile che vi lasci a piedi a metà giornata. sempre pronto, il condensatore si ricarica in un istante anche quando si scatta a piena potenza. Io ho anche acquistato il modulo X-Pro per comandare il mio speedlight quando è "off-camera", soddisfattissimo anche di quello. Per usarlo bene, è ovvio che si debba mettersi d'impegno, studiare ed esercitarsi, a quel punto si apre realmente un mondo di opportunità! Consiglio per chi è indeciso se comprare o meno un flash speedlight: credete (non lo dico solo io) non ha nulla a che fare con l'unità "pop-up" integrata in tanti corpi macchina, è un altro pianeta, molto più potente e flessibile.
