These are great. I was quite dissatisfied with the power cord that was provided with the dvd player as it was quite short. This works in the vehicles much better!

This item constantly blew my 20A low profile fuses in my Honda CR-V. The issue is NOT with the outlets themselves because I tried several other devices (plugs) in the outlets and even jiggled them around a bit to see if the outlet had a loose connection...they fared fine...this device however, stick it in, bump it a little, and the fuse IN MY CAR'S fuse box blows...not the one in the device itself...

Might be OK but the plug doesn't fit my portable XM radio player which is what I bought it for and the place I thought I was looking.

I have to assume that this works--we haven't used it yet. I don't feel like I can fairly give it a 5 star rating, based on that--but don't want to give a one star. Three fits my mood about this item--I purchased it as an Amazon add-on that led me to believe I needed this when purchasing something else. Turned out the other item came with one. I guess I have a spare, but I am annoyed that I was led to believe there wasn't one in the box with the item. I have purchased items before that didn't have a car charger, so it made sense to me that if it was suggested to go with the DVD player and DVD player holder for the car that I also bought as an add-on, that this was needed. Not out a lot, and since the DVD player is really cheap, so it seems to follow that the cord that came with it will likely be as well.
