Heavy Flavorful Olive Oil with Slightly Biiter Taste
This olive oil is very different from my favorite brand which is Atlas. Price of Atlas has become prohibitive so looking for less expensive alternatives. Mina is much heavier with a slightly bitter taste. Not entirely disagreeable and entirely useable for salads, etc. Trying to acquire a taste for the Mina. Gave five stars because Mina seems of good quality just different in taste and heaviness which many may prefer. Mina comes in a plastic bottle which may account for the lower price since both brands are from Morocco.

Very nice!
I buy this Moroccan olive oil to drink for health reasons. It tastes great, and the burn in my throat tells me its polyphenol rich - which is why I have a tablespoon or two per day. Reasonable price for a great product.

Quality that stands above many others in its field
I am one that loves to review products and this product did not disappoint. The oil is very high-quality and I love the flavor but for my use, I find it just a little bit pricier than some others for the amount that I use, though I would definitely buy it over others, as I am a strong believer in top-notch quality.

So far I like it
Received this today in perfect condition and sealed as you can see in one of my photos. I had a skincare business and my Argan oil came from a UNESCO site in SW Morocco. Their Argan was top quality and 1st press so very rich. Morocco has some very good oils along with wild harvested Brazilian oils. The trees aren’t as beautifully lush in Morocco yet you see goats climbing the trees to get the oils. A harsh climate produces great oils as well as the lush Amazon basin when looking for Maracuja and ACAI. This particular oil is quite peppery but also smooth. Too peppery for a skin oil but probably quite good to eat or drink. You usually use the extra virgin for salads and cold use but I assume as long as you keep the heat lower cooking with this one is fine. I will use to sautee and use with my supplements to get them down easier. I just roll the big tablets in some oil and have no problem swallowing. This is a rich oil to use for that. My only surprise was the plastic bottle. It’s lighter for shipping so in life there are trade offs. There was no expiration date on the bottle. Most oils if stored properly can be used longer. I will just use this one before opening another. I assume this was cold pressed in November. I don’t know how long they sit in an Amazon warehouse. It doesn’t taste or look rancid. Will know better when I decant. Took off a star for the bottle and scant label information.

Last one too bitter for me (updated: now I love this spicy, bitter oil!)
Update: I reached out last year to the seller/producer of Mina olive oil to ask about bitterness (polyphenols) from harvest to harvest. He was super nice, and suggested a particular harvest that I might like that was milder. The funny thing is, I don’t cook often, so 2L of olive oil lasts a very long time in my household, and during that time, this spicy, bitter oil has totally grown on me. (Because of the high polyphenols perhaps, the oil has not spoiled or turned at all in all this time.) At first, I cut it with milder oil, but over time, I began to really love it straight. Even to the point of occasionally throwing back a spoonful “neat”. I still would appreciate it if the producers would include flavor or polyphenols info on the label so I could choose the flavor profile I prefer. I’m going to need to purchase again soon, and I’m actually hoping for the stronger flavored one this time. I’m sure the seller will point me to the best choice (time to buy) if I reach out again. This is still really good quality olive oil for the price, especially for high polyphenol oil, even though like everything else, it’s gotten more expensive, around $33 for 2L now after Subscribe and Save discount. Original review: Loved the first bottle purchased in Fall of 2022. This last one from December 2023 is so bitter I can’t eat it. I’m reading that both bitterness and pepperiness in olive oil are features of high polyphenols, and that both are beneficial for health. I love a peppery olive oil, but one as bitter as this one was, well, I’m not there yet. If the bitterness level varies from season to season or year to year, it would be nice if the labeling could hint at the spiciness and bitterness level. I’m sure some people would prefer to stock up on the more intensely flavored stuff, but I’d prefer Mina’s milder tasting oil for now. I now have the dilemma of whether to buy it again in the future, because I really loved that first bottle, and I wouldn’t feel right asking for a refund of one I didn’t like if there wasn’t anything technically wrong with it.

Great flavor
Great seller. I like this oil a lot. It has great flavor without tasting acidy. I especially like it for pizza dough.
