Update after 6 weeks: My new complaint is that the panel to select strength of light is not made well. The "buttons" are wayyy too close for my slender female fingers so the lamp gets confused on what I'm pressing. I can't imagine how difficult this would be for man fingers. I often have to attempt pressing the button 5 - 6 times. Frustrating!!!I've been using this lamp for three weeks now. Overall, I like it. It doesn't tilt over from being top heavy which was what concerned me. Although the entire thing is very light, the arms (all parts above the base) are exceedingly light. I understand it's made of aluminum so that explains the weight. Very functional just as advertised. It doesn't really hurt my eyes because of the tilt function and move-ability of the two lamp arms. But selection of lowest to second lowest on brightness is a huge difference and I wish there was an in-between instead of the big jump. I gave it a 4 rather than 5 star rating because I feel there's room for improvement, but for the price, it's not bad.

Looks wonderful, love the style and feels very well made. Sadly, I bought used (“like new” condition) and it doesn’t work right. The issue with mine is like an old phone cable, it has to be at just the right angle to work... which makes it pretty miserable. Especially because I can’t move it around for different angles and lighting, half of the reason I bought it. I’m guessing it got dropped during transit or something—>The actual light is very smooth and even, like a photography soft-box. Similar items have multiple uneven light sources, this has the best design and light quality. Just a few bugs to work out still...The dimmer needs to be able to go dimmer. In the morning I want a setting that is barely on, dimmer than the blue base lights, which are exceedingly bright. I love the multiple light modes, but and indicator would be nice so I know which mode I’m on. Also, it would be great if the power cable were a micro USB, they’re much easier to replace and it makes it more universal. Lastly (for now) I think having the bottom being able to turn would make this SOOO much more amazing, really being able to put the light where you need it.This ended up really long.. hopefully it’s helpful!

FIRST, I have owned this product since 2018. Nothing has failed, everything as bright as it was when I got it out of the box. I have tossed it, moved it, cleaned it with a damp cloth or index...still works. What others have complained about the bubbles has everything to do with the fact that they STILL NEED TO REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE FILM!!!!!

The control lights are way too bright, I can read by them- I put a little window tint on them- And the dimmer should go much lower- if you are looking for soft, warm, LOW light, on the lowest setting- you will be disappointed. Otherwise- as expected- efficient controlled light- a bit bright for me, but efficient. And the USB charger is very handyUpdate- sort of- Emily, from Phive, asked me to evaluate another model, similar to this one- I appreciate the effort to address the issues with this lamp, but the other was equally disappointing.My response to Phive about the new model:Your new light is better, as far light quality, and it does go a bit dimmer- but it still is not as good, or controllable as I would like.The night light is a good attempt to address the low light issue, but is not an elegant solution.And lastly, while I complained about the overly bright control lights on the old light, this one has none, and without a tactile indicator- it is difficult/impossible to find/turn the light on in the dark.Good luck with future designs

The lamp works well, but there are two things about it that were not what I was expecting. First, it is not a true "touch control" lamp, in that you can't touch it anywhere to turn it on/off. You have to touch the buttons on the base. Second, it is *not* ideal for a bedroom, as another reviewer noted. It has two very bright blue lights that stay on all the time unless you unplug the lamp. I put a paperback book on the base and that blocks the blue lights, but it also blocks the controls, so it's not ideal. Other than those issues, the lamp functions as it's supposed to, it makes a good reading lamp, and it has a small footprint. If I had to do it over again, however, I'd get something else for the bedroom.

Updated review! I wrote the below review and I was surprised when some weeks later I received a package in the mail from the company. They took the feedback into consideration and sent me another lamp that had much dimmer lights at the base. It is still used as a bedside lamp and I am much happier with the level of illumination.Great light but the led for the on and off switch is way to bright! I use this as a night light and have to put something over the base or it illuminates the whole room.

I bought this lamp because I work from home and my office only has one window so it is sort of dark which I sort of like for viewing multiple computer screens, BUT I also have to type a lot of reports and I needed to see the keyboard better to be able to type. This lamp is perfect!! I can direct the light because it can be adjusted in so many directions and you can adjust the amount of light... great lamp!!

I like the dimmer and color temperature features. The USB charger is handy as well. The annoying thing though, and the reason it's only getting 3 stars, is that it doesn't remember the last brightness setting. I almost always use it at its dimmest setting (as a nightstand lamp), but every time I turn it on, the brightness is somewhere random, sometimes medium, sometimes super bright. That should not be a hard bug to fix.
