Beautiful He 219 Uhu in 1/48
With a nose weight built into the cockpit Tamiya has once again shown great care and innovation. The landing gear is a little tricky so I opted for the SAC metal replacements. The build is straight forward and the fuselage fits together seemelesly .A very unique subject with plenty of paint schemes to choose from. Two pilots give this one scale and add to the overall finish. Probably an intermediate build for most modelers with few problems except the landing gear.

Mimicking the paint scheme the Luftwaffe used is tedious.. the outcome looks awesome
Mimicking the paint scheme the Luftwaffe used is tedious.. the outcome looks awesome.. great addition to my Luftwaffe WWII collection..... I do not recall if it comes with swastikas or not. I had previous and separately purchased a 1/48 scale collection of these markings {full sheet of assorted decals used back during the war} knowing I would be doing several kits that might not come with them.. for authenticity sake I wanted them on the tail fins. So give that some consideration.

Love this model
This is a great representation of one of the coolest night fighter airplanes the Germans had. I have not built it yet but this is next on my list to build. Can’t wait!

Big model, some fragile parts.
Enjoyed building this model. Landing gear was tricky, especially fitting the nose gear into the weighted front. Nose gear attachments didn’t fit and I had to do some trimming. Putting the wings on was also a bit of a challenge—the instructions here are inadequate—had to use super glue to get the wings attached. The radar antennae were scary fragile. I was surprised I didn’t brake any of them. Love the paint scheme and decals.

Fun kit
This was a fun kit. Just beware that the antennas on the front and back are very weak and break easily

A nice addition to WW 2 plane collection
It was a very fun project. The parts fit exceptionally well together. It's fairly complicated but worth the effort
