SeitenbacherChocolate Covered Protein Bar – 16g of protein, 14g of fiber, hazelnuts, 2.1 Ounce (Pack of 12)

Just a bit dry tasting. Needs a glass of milk to wash it down. But after a lot of researching protein bars, this was the only one I could find that didn't have any preservatives, additives, protein isolates or concentrates, or GMOs. So I keep these in my desk at work and in my coaching bag to curb bad cravings. They are filling so it really helps keep me from snacking, especially on sugary treats.

I got diagnosed with a gluten sensitivity a couple months ago and have had to buy everything gluten-free. I also am hypoglycemic so I need to eat foods that have a good protein to carb ratio to stabalize my blood sugar. I often times am on the go and was searching for a high protein gluten-free bar, which wouldn't spike my blood sugar. I also prefer foods made fairly naturally without too many ingredients. This is the best I've found so far. Nutrition Facts: 190 calories, 7g. fat, 25g carb., 16g. protein, 13g. sugar.14g. fiber Ingredients: soluble fiber made of beets, protein from milk, GMO free soy, Hazelnuts. Chocolate cover: Brown cane sugar, Cocoa, GMO free Sunflower lecithin.The taste is fine, not too sweet. It's good, but it's not mouthwatering delicious, but I don't want it to be. I don't know about you, but I don't want my protein bar to taste like a candy bar. I had one of these while out shopping for Christmas presents and I wasn't hungry for a few hours. It did the trick so I wasn't tempted to eat something I might regret later.The only con for me is they are hard to find and pricey. I can't find these anywhere, but Amazon. There is only one health store in my area and they don't carry these. I don't eat them everyday though and it's still cheaper than a fast food meal/snack that I might be tempted to eat while on the go. Overall, good product and I will buy more in the future. Will probably sign up for the subscribe and save.

I realized that the bars were in bad condition. They were old and some packages had small rips. I know these bars from Germany where they sell fresh ones maybe because there is higher turn-over. The quality of the bars sold in the US was not satisfactory considering the price.

Here's what European goodness means: NO GMOs, rigorous production standards, and just enough sugar to satisfy a sweet tooth. I just bought these bars for the first time. The chocolate is smooth and delicious, the inside reminds me a bit of a Reese's, except with hazelnuts instead of peanuts (all ground together with the other ingredients so that the inside is smooth). AND THE'RE GLUTEN FREE :)Another benefit of these bars is that each package contains TWO. So if you're not using these for a meal, they are a very easy snack. I look forward to carrying these as a snack-on-the-go and an occasional meal-in-a-hurry. They are tasty enough to enjoy and filling enough there is no temptation to over-indulge. In my opinion, they are the PERFECT protein bars!

Best bar for the purpose of meal replacement for taste, caloric vs protein content that I have found. I keep them on hand all the time.

These are hard to swallow, literally. Dry and as my daughter would say, "not yummy". Sad to say, they are still sitting in my cupboard.

I eat a lot of protein bars and I found these to be especially delicious although I think the price is a not high. If you are tired if the same old thing definitely give these a try!

This is my new most favoritest protein bar of all time! It taste like a candy bar. I keep mine in the fridge so that it's even more dense.I have this bar with water for breakfast or lunch. It really is something i look forward to eating everyday.
