Good read.

My father who was in the Korean War and Vietnam loved this book! He is 91 and he read it for hours. He said he just couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend this for any marine or history buff.A major in the marine at retirement this book brought back a lot of memories!

I purchased as a gift for someone who loves military history and he absolutely loves the reading the stories in the book. He can't say enough about how great this is.

Great Book about our USMC.

The book presents the greatest stories in historical sequence, starting with the Marines first battle in a foreign country, Tripoli, in our fight against the Barbary Pirates while Jefferson was president. Each story moves through history to include the Civil War, Spanish-American War and finishing with our current conflicts in the Middle East.Great read/

The stories are excellent but it makes an old Marine cringe to hear the narrator mispronounce certain names (sometimes repeatedly) such as amftrac instead of amtrac (short for amphibious tractor) or N-sign for for N-sin (Ensign).

My husband was a Marine, and our grandson is presently a Sgt. in the USMC, so we are well versed in the history of this great American military organization. We never tire of reading the stories of the bravery and dedication of the United States Marine Corps. Of course we are biased but I know all Americans appreciate their service ,both men and women. These stories fill you with pride and gratitude for a job always well done. Eths
