Necessary for many styles of umbrellas.
So far we used our umbrella a dozen times and thereโs no way it would handle the weight, especially with a little wind. It was toppling over so these are absolutely necessary for the umbrella that we bought on Amazon. It works great. It was easy to put together and itโs very strong.

Good product
Easy to fill and easy to install on my Sunnyglade umbrella. Keeps it in upright and in place even when it's windy. They appear durable.

If you use water in them and live in cold winter region remember to empty before storing
This is the second set I purchased after not thinking I needed to empty out the water they froze and burst during the cold winter we had. They work very well and keep my umbrella in place. I have filled my second set with sand! Not the fault of the product, just me not thinking it thru!๐

Wonderful umbrella base
I needed a base to hold my offset patio umbrella. Had been using concrete blocks but they are a pain when moving the umbrella. This base came nicely packaged. I used water to fill these up. You can use sand to make them heavier. I will have to remember to empty the water out before winter. Don't want the water to freeze and break the bases. This base fit well around my umbrella base. The base kit comes with some metal bars to lock the bases together over the umbrella base. My umbrella base is a tad wider so these bars don't fit. When filling these up with water, the caps that screw on were hard to get tight. I first tried hand tightening them. Then tried hand tightening using a towel for a better grip. Still leaked. I finally used a channel lock style pliers to tighten the caps more. That did the trick, no leaks. If you have to do this, try not to overtighten the caps and cause damage to them.

Perfect
This umbrella stand is the best! Our umbrella would definitely end up being blown away or stolen if not for the base. It's very thick plastic, holds plenty of water, was super easy to put together, looks great and seems like it will last a long time. It absolutely cannot be moved since it probably weighs 160 plus pounds. But then it can't be stolen over our fence easily either. It's a little large but needs to be in order to hold the umbrella. So glad we got it to keep the umbrella safe & sound!

Measure! Huge footprint & cheap.
Ok, only giving three stars because of design. KEEP IN MIND the footprint is HUGE! So! Caution if your patio is small. It's also a trip hazard. The base is very flat, only about three inches high, so in order to weigh down the 55# companion umbrella (also cheap because it only has a nylon cord for its' pulley, not a steel cable) it's extremely large. A better design would be 5-7" tall, and not so wide. Since it is designed to be used with the specific type of umbrella by the same company, this is planned obsolescence. It's fine for my party this summer, but it's cheap.

Good umbrella base at a good price
These weights hold my umbrella in place in high winds. It's a simple setupโfilling each of the four sections with water and laying them out around the base. The locking pins fit tightly and hold everything together. I used a rubber mallet to gently knock them into place. And once in place, the whole assembly is too heavy to lift, but I can slide it over the deck for the perfect position. I'll remove and empty the plates before the first freeze and store them in the garage. So long as no one steps on them and they don't freeze with water in them, and if children don't jump on them, I think they will hold up for years of use.

Cheap product does not work with water
I ordered this product because I ordered the Umbrella and there was no mention of buying the base that is sold separately. After some searching, I found this matching base. The base description, states it is a โ4-Piece Umbrella Base Outdoor Umbrella Stand, Filled with Water or Sandโ. I filled the bases up with water and screwed the caps on. Immediately the bases start leaking water all over my deck. I even tried re-screwing the cap several times thinking it was not on properly; however, every time, the bases continued to leak at the spout. I wrote Yaheetech and never heard back. I even had Amazon reach out to Yaheetech and still no response. I had to work through Amazon and get a replacement sent out and drive to UPS to return the base. After waiting another week, the replacement base arrived. I unpacked them and filled again with water. Immediately the bases started leaking again. Obviously the bases are not made well and cannot take water. If you want to even use this product you need to buy sand bags and tediously fill with a funnel. A lot of work involved this product. Yaheetech is doing it's customers a disservice not including the base with the Umbrella and not responding to complaints.

Solid and stable base.
Was easy to install. The clips really improve the stability of the base for the umbrella. So far looking good.

Decent Base purchased returned model
Good solid base that fits my IKEA cantilever umbrella stand. The seals are good so the base can be filled with water. Mine came with a slight gouge in one corner but it was a returned item purchased for much less $$. I just siliconed that tiny leak. It is on the bottom so not visible.

Worth it
Great. The lids are hard to get tight enough with your bare hand I used a wrench. Once I got them on completely they were good and sealed. So handy to hold down out offset 10 ft umbrella on a second story deck that gets a lot of wind.
