Mercedes-Benz Sport-Light Coupe: The Complete Story (Crowood Autoclassics)

This book is a general overview of a range of coupes within the Mercedes range. It does not really cover the SL range with the exception of the early gullwing range. Having said that there are a lot of pictures of interesting cars but also of single seat racers and trucks none of which have much to do with the SL range either. There are some fascinating biographies of some of the engineers involved and information on rare and concept prototypes. However the sheer size and scope of the subject matter means that nothing can be described in too much detail in a 208 page book.
