All four ratchets on the Harbor Freight set bound up and failed to release the strap, brand new, out of the package. I had to use lubricant and rotate them with a screwdriver to get the mechanism to loosen up and start to work. In contrast, the ratcheting mechanism on the Rhino straps worked as it should and did so with ease. The quality and operation of the ratchet really demonstrated the difference in manufacturing. The handle and pull lever on the Rhino ratchet was also very well made and easy to use. Well, from quality we come to value; to be fair, the Harbor Freight set was $19.99, less with their 20% off coupon. The Rhino set (4-Pack) is $59.97; making them more expensive by a wide margin. If you throw in the super easy to activate lifetime warranty then you increase the value again. What does it cover though and what kind of hoops do you have to jump through for a replacement? All in all I would say these are a solid value at $49.99 without tax and including Prime shipping. As it worked out, buying a set cost me just under $65.00 with tax and Prime shipping.
