Wax is hard to cut, weirdly bubbly.
This isn't stationary for the Queen, so the aesthetic isn't crucial in my situation. I will say this, if aesthetic is important, get a different wax. The wax included is extremely difficult to cut off from the sticks. The gold stick has a hollow center, and all the wax melts with a lot of air bubbles. I'm not boiling the wax, so it's not caused by the heating, but rather the trapped air being released once melted. The bubbles kind of bungle the aesthetic around the sides of the stamp. The stamp itself is fine and I was delighted to find an octopus... Oh, wait, never mind, it has 9 legs! So, not an OCTOpus. I love octopus (and cephalopods in general) and I found the inaccuracy to be irksome... Hello, it's right there in the name, OCTO, how did they mess that up? Hopefully the people I send these to won't be so observant. Sigh.
