Chatak Mango Kuchela

Being a Trini, I have very high standards when it comes to Kuchela and Amchar since it is a staple in West Indian cooking. My grandmother made both Kuchela and Amchar from scratch and while nothing does, or ever will compare, I have to say that Chatak's Kuchela is the closest in taste and texture to the Kuchela my grandmother used to make. Very highly recommended. It is very spicy though, so use sparingly (or not, depending on how much of a pepper addict you are!).

Package came open and was leaking. It was sealed but the top wasn’t. Very unhappy.

Expert packaging and the item was fresh and fully sealed. It is the first time I tried to get a taste of Trinidad on line and it is worth it.

If you like spicy things like pepper, you would like this. This is grated green mango cooked with other spices to give you a pepper taste. Just think of it like a spicey green mango pickle without a lot of the liquid.

great tasting kuchela. exactly what i was looking for to eat my dhal and rice. will definitely buy this again sometime
