I was looking to use the XL for home and personal use, and taking head shots for actors and performing artists for their audition work. The XL is really quite large, not really suited for "run and gun" type of work that news photography requires. But it is quite perfect for more controlled environments like studio work, or outdoor "fashion" shoots where you can create more control over the environment.
