1# 9x3-1/2" TAN Deck Screws

I was introduced to this line of screws years ago when Home Depot briefly carried them. Originally bought them for exterior use and was impressed with the durability of the coating and the strength of the head design. When I first got them I was using straight Phillips #2 bits but soon discovered that the so-called Phillips II bits they supply in each box were both more durable and less likely to cam out. Over the years I've used most of the sizes from 1-5/8 to 3-1/2in. The head design and special bits really pays off in the 3 and 3-1/2in lengths where more driving power must be transmitted.The shipments have always come quickly from the Phillips distributor on Amazon and I like that I can combine orders with them and get other specialty screws and bits from the same vendor in the same shipment.

Love these screws. Home Depot has switched to a "STAR" type head and it is REALLY frustrating when you have been using the "phillips II" combo head screws then have to start using a different type. we still have difference length screws with the combo head, then have to switch tips to use the new (UNimproved) star/tourq head. When you need to go back to something later you don't know which is where. DO NOT understand why some jerk decided these had to be replace! Just my opinion, Mary Ellen from TEXAS

If you are looking for the very best deck screw (or multipurpose screw), look no further. These screws work with various sizes of Phillips drives, as well as #2 square drive. They drive well with drill or impact driver, do not strip out and hold extremely well. The only problem is that they are difficult to find (except on Amazon).
