NadyCBM-40X Capacitor Boundary Microphone

I really had no idea this microphone was so small. It's about 2"x3.5" in size and uses an included mini-XLR to standard size XLR plug. It has two holes on the back that will allow you to mount it vertically, which I found useful for my application.I'm using mine as a talkback microphone in my recording studio. I have it hooked up to an existing talkback system and am triggering it on/off with a footswitch. After many years of recording, I've found that people who have feedback for somebody in the booth tend to shout across the room and it's sometimes difficult for the microphone that is built into the talkback system to pick them up. So, I thought I'd try a boundary mic that would pick up voices from all around the control room better. Working great so far!

I use this microphone to stream and record acapella singing of our worship services. We have a medium large auditorium, seats 300. The Nady CBM-40X Condenser Boundary Microphone works fantastic! I have it mounted about 15 feet above the audience level on the front wall. Works well with the filters I use to block out lower level sounds I don’t want to capture. Fantastic microphone.

I installed this under the drop ceiling in my church to live-stream and record our worship services. It is far more sensitive and superior in audio quality than the dynamic mic I was previously using. I am totally pleased with the performance of this product.
