Good Idea - Bad design
It can work out very well for some as a temporary solution for additional space. As a solution for shelving in a place where one can't add permanent racks, or buy new furniture. I don't see it however becoming a long-term investment for one's beloved kitchen interior. My wife wanted me to order one. She didn't realize that the shelf will be way longer than the cabinets in our apt. (I've read the reviews, and felt sour about buying it in the first place). But she saw a similar shelf at our friends, and she *loved* it... lol! It's a pain to send it back as S&H is bound to cost more than 50% of the shelf's cost :-( I'm not even mentioning the waste time this involves me into. Now I'll try to sell it on Craigslist or give it to else as a holiday season 3rd rate present.Construction-wise, I feel it's absolutely not worth its cost ($9, $10 or whatever you paid for it)With $6 worth of material i can DIY a much better, and sturdier space saver with ideal measurements! So, as others have pointed out, if you decide on buying it, measure well ahead of time!* among other things, make sure the cabinet's door (if that's where you'll place it) doesn't close flush against borders of the inner shelves, because as you can see on the pic, the warp unit will get in the way*It's made of metal coated with paint, I can see it in in the near future becoming rusty. Since the kitchen where it's primarily designed to be is a humid place. And humidity will find its way between the cracks that will form in the paint.(Remember the somewhen popular office desk savers and trash bins made of neat metal mesh? - they are still sold in BB & Beyond; only freshmen students, bound for the far away campus dorms, still buy them these days)*Also in the kitchen, it'll become a mild nightmare for the cleaning lady ,in my case it would have been my wife's, to wipe dirt of each single wire. The shelf is not easily "wipe-able" as is any other flat surface. Just imagine reaching for whatever it stores with dirty/greasy hands, something that can potentially happen...*Notice that on the picture the shelf is installed inside an --empty-- cabinet. Because it's arms get in the way of things you have on a higher shelf.*Those arms aren't coated in rubber. This means that if you try to pull out an item that's resisting (got caught in the wrap, or against another item next to it, the whole shelf can slide out and fall... oops! As I said, I wouldn't have bought the thing after first reading the reviews. After having held it my hands, i'm sure I'll never buy it again.

It defies gravity! Heck, it defies Reason!
Imagine.A simple shelf, made of just so many pieces of welded steel, sitting there, seemingly doing nothing. You would be wrong. Almost like a spider, it crouches, clinging to the *underside* of any shelf I put it on, its web of metal securely holding several rolls of aluminum foil and paper, both waxed and parchment. I suspect it could hold almost any roll or similarly shaped item with equal ease...the quiet strength of the piece is present, though it does not seem to like to brag.In fact, all conversations I've attempted to hold with this magnificent beast have resulted in only two responses: Either dazzling silence - obviously the strong, silent type. Or once, I could have sworn I heard the gentle pealing of bells, as if softly shaken. It may have only been the good-humor man going down my street, but I think it was something else entirely.Yes, I think the angelic nature of this item slipped out slightly, letting me know that everything was alright, and that TONIGHT, no roll of Saran Wrap will fall to the floor to snare passerby unawares. The thinly rolled thirteenth element on the periodic table will not become unraveled all huggly-muggly, blocking my reception to the aliens that stalk my house.I know I walk a little taller and a skin condition I've had for almost a week has cleared up since I purchased this. While there is no image of a saint etched into the metal, it is possible that if I were to scrape off the paint and soak it in salty water for a while, I could get it to rust, perhaps into the visage of an angel...but why would any sane person want to disfugure such a sublime work of art? Even more so, one whose presence in my house, and I have no evidence to back this up, has doubled the value of my property. You would be a fool not to help support your rolls of cooking-themed films and foils with this device.

What You See is What You Get.
I have a pretty basic pantry of shelves, and this worked just fine. It's perfectly sturdy.I feel like if you look at the product pictures, you know exactly what it is. I don't really understand the negative reviews because the product is so self explanatory and when I got it, it was completely as represented. I put it on the shelf and the top wires stuck up as much as the picture shows ... meaning, barely, but yes - they do make little bumps on the shelf above. And the bin part below is going to use up some shelf space. That's what this is. And the dimensions were accurate.I bought it for exactly the purpose shown - to hold the foil/wrap/trash boxes that were taking up space on the shelf. Now they are more reachable and there is less "stacking" of stuff on the shelf.I'm happy because I knew what I was buying and that's what I got and it's a useful product. If you want the product that you see in the pictures and don't have unrealistic expectations for it being something different, you will be happy with this purchase.
