I have really bad acne to where I use two prescription topical acne medications, one during the day (everyday) and one at night (3 nights of the week) which helps but I still had a few pimples. The nights don't use the prescription medication, I will use this product (3 nights of the week). About 2 weeks after adding this product to my regimen, it cleared the rest of the acne and blemishes the prescription medication could not get rid of. I was not sure if this product did it on its own or it enhanced my acne medication, so I stopped using the meds for 1 week and only used this product. All of the acne came back. Therefore, I need both the medication and this product to keep my skin clear. Now my skin is very smooth with no acne at all but I still break out with 1-2 pimples once in awhile due to poor dieting. This product did slightly lighten a few dark spots but not cleared it as I expected. However, I don't have to use a lot of foundation to cover these dark spots. Also, I still produce a lot of oil on my skin. I get a lot of compliments on how clear and smooth my skin looks. Then, I started using it more often (>5 nights of the week) but my skin got too sensitive and was peeling. So, I had to slow back down to 3 nights of the week. The product is a little oily as to also why I use it at night but it does not get on your sheets. I rather use this than to be changed to another expensive acne medication. So in summary:Pros: 1. helped the acne meds clear my skin 2. lighten a few dark spots 3 Affordable (compare to prescription acne meds)Cons: 1. an oily cream 2. I still produce a lot of oil 3. it doesn't reduce the acne on its own 4. I still have dark spots 5. If used too often, it can make your skin too sensitive and peel.

I'm on my second bottle I think of this cream. I've bought other brands before, but a lot of them come in a tub which is a problem. Trying to scoop it out to apply it with longer nails inevitably means I end up with cream under my nail where it both goes to waste & has to be scrubbed back out again, which isn't difficult, but it is a hassle & it annoys me that some of it ends up getting wasted.So that's what drew me to this particular brand, the reasonable price & the pump bottle. No more wasting product that stuck under my nails. Yay!I went all in with it, ended up getting this, the retinol(which also came with a retinol moisturizer I'm disappointed seems to be out of stock now, an eye cream and the peptide complex. I think they had a deal at the time I made my first order, a percent off with the purchase of multiple products which was nice & made it worth trying several products at once. And no, I received no other compensation or discount for leaving a review. I depend on reviews when buying products online & we all know few people are brutally honest when they're getting a kick back for their thoughts. All of my reviews are purely to return the favors other reviewers have done me with their honest experiences.Glycolic acid, by any brand, does what it does. Helps promote new skin cell growth by sloughing off the old cells & promotes collagen production. That's static. And this cream works as well as any 10% glycolic acid. The cream itself is a nice consistency. Disappears easily into skin. Does leave a moisturized look. A bit more shiny than I would be sans any creams. That can be good or bad depending on your skin, it doesn't leave me feeling oily though and moisturizing is a good thing over for most of us.If you have oily skin, drying it out too much can make the problem worse by encouraging your skin to keep producing excess oils as it attempts to overcome your attempts to dry it out. Random recommendation for oily or acne prone skin, mix raw honey (has to be raw, if it's heated, the heat will kill the antibacterial qualities) about half & half with baking soda. Baking soda combines with the oils in your skin to create a soap. Because of that, it's always the right amount of soap & does a beautiful job of removing those oils without over-drying. The honey helps prevent break outs while moisturizing the skin. (if your skin is at all dry, use more honey & less baking soda) I switched a decade ago & haven't looked back. All my adult acne completely disappeared & my skin is shockingly balanced now. Now back to your regularly scheduled review.So the cream applies & rubs in well. I try to get my skin slightly moist with a bit of water before using these creams, just because it allows me to spread the cream more easily without having to push or pull at my skin. I've seen a few people complain about the smell. It doesn't smell like lilacs or anything. It's a medical cream. But you don't want a bunch of perfumes in something like this. I have a fairly sensitive nose & don't really notice the smell honestly. I wouldn't have thought about it at all really if other reviewers hadn't mentioned it. But if the smell bothers you, follow with a nice smelling moisturizer. Really, I wouldn't buy a cream like this that was full of perfumes because it would be so much more likely to irritate the skin. Glycolic acid is literally getting in there & breaking down the bonds between skin cells to allow those dead & dying cells to slough off. You don't need extra chemicals in the middle of that process.I'm 45. I've been working on my weight for a handful of years now. Lost 65ish lbs, gained most of it back, and have now lost 82. All since I turned 40. I've put my skin has been through h*ll. My face, thanks I think in part to my efforts with these creams, doesn't tell the tale. My neck shows it, every time I lose weight in my face. The excess skin seems to slide down to my neck I swear. I just keep using the creams (and taking collagen) and it tightens back up again over time. I can't say it doesn't show my age at all, but I do think it would be worse if I weren't making an effort. I know a couple of other people who've also lost a lot of weight at my age who look a good deal older in their face & neck. Is some of it genetics? Maybe? But I'm sure some of it is this cream as well.I'm going to keep buying & using this and I do recommend it.

Three stars because I really like the consistency of the cream. My skin gets very dry in the winter and this is perfect to retain moisture while still applying an anti aging treatment. My issue is that this is the second bottle of the Life Essentials skin care line where the bottle pump does not work! I hate having to open the bottle to dispense the creams. Not hygienic in my opinion and a major inconvenience.

Well I have a wonderful skincare routine but could never seem to get the hyper pigmentation to go away or even lighten. When looking around I saw that Life Essentials had a product that would help with this by repairing the skin. I have been using their Eye Cream for a few months and love hands down best eye cream I have ever used. I ordered the product at the beginning of April. Using it about a week or two before I got sick (nothing to do with the cream) While on antibiotics I just use my cleansers because my skin goes crazy. When I was able to return to the product, I did notice a lot of changes and I could tell it was doing what it states it will do. I did have dead skin flaking off at times when applying the product and was excited for this as to me this meant it was doing the job renewing the skin. After a month of continuing to use it I have noticed my skin getting better and healthier. Looking over some of the bad reviews I did want to point something out that I thought needed to be addressed. When you start a skincare regimen especially one that will clean your skin deep down you may have breakout get worse to start with as the product is pulling things to the surface to remove them. I used to have this problem when I was younger but as I kept going my skin got better and barely have breakouts anymore. I always look at it as nothing is magic you must go through the bad to get the good. I hope if you are looking for a product that will give you results that you will try this. Always look at the ingredients and do your research make the choice based on knowledge.

Love the cream but the pump broke almost right away... A bit frustrating to get out of the bottle but the product is great and my skin is happy for it. Very affordable for glycolic

Only a few days of use and there's a noticeable difference in my skin. It really does help exfoliate and create a more even, less oily base. I haven't noticed any burning sensation after applying. It has a bit of an odd smell, but nothing extreme and only lasts a few seconds during application.

My skin is softer and smoother after using this product! Really great :) Would definitely recommend.
