on impulse, I bought a couple of Boska cheese knives at a local upscale market, and was really impressed with how well they fulfilled their intended purpose - to slice cheese effectively. The sharpness of the blade, and the external non-stick texture of the knife, made slicing cheese of any variety a perfect experience. I don't know a lot about cheese, but I do know something about knives, and these are superbly engineered for their intended purpose. I was so impressed with the knives that I bought a set as a gift for some friends. These were not your ordinary over-the-fence friends; they're from the Netherlands, and really love their cheese. They'd never heard of this brand, but after using the knives for a little while they can't stop raving about how perfectly the knives slice the cheese without sticking or crushing, are easy to clean, and keep their edge. (Note: I found the knives to be not super sharp, but just about right to slice through packaging and labels without being too fragile as to require frequent sharpening. Also, the 100% stainless knife just drops into the dishwasher for cleaning, which appeals hugely to my fundamentally lazy nature.) After a year, I still love my original purchase, and my sophisticated friends couldn't be happier with these knives - A+++!
