This item arrived safe and well packaged.A very useful replacement power adapter for my HP Elitebook. It will charge or connect anything with the right port, which is very useful for running my notebook. Having a charger at home and in the office means I do not have to keep carrying the power leads around with me, and don't need to worry about range either. Very useful to have a spare or two!!This appears to be very well made and perfect for the increasing range of places that I need to use my computer!I highly recommend this product.

does the job

We were actually a bit reticent about using this on a new laptop as it is a fast charger. We are not sure that it will help the battery life as we worry that the fast charge will charge it too quickly and actually lower the battery life of the laptop. However, I found it to be compact, reliable, and has a stable output voltage with overcurrent protection. Does the job nicely, it is a good price a definite 5 out of 5.

I have been a KFD fan for a long time for my after market power supplies as they are well made and have a build that is similar (if not better in some cases) than the original supplies. I have yet to be disappointed in an of them.This charger is a different design to the traditional KFD units that have had the plug and transformer in a single unit. It is more like many of the original chargers in being a transformer unit (power brick) and a fly lead for the plug. The power brick design is rectangular with rounded edges that make holding it easier and also wrapping the cable around less likely to result in pinches and damage to the cable. There is an odd thing though that the bag the brick comes in has a label that says to not wrap the cable around it, despite it coming wrapped around and being designed just for that purpose.The laptop plug is the standard smaller HP plug that has been used for many years now (4.5mm with 3mm inside approx and blue ring on the original) and fits perfectly with no slack/wobble. It has a small cable clip on it that actually works. This is designed to clip the cable closed when wrapped up and in the past I have not had many that stay closed but this one does.In use (and this is after all the main point of the supply), it is just like using the original that came with the laptop. I have noticed no speed difference in the charging and the laptop does not make any mention of using incompatible chargers. I have noticed none HP chargers have in the past provided power to use the laptop but the battery has not charged. With this KFD charger, it worked just as a HP original does. Even when charging a flat battery the power brick does not get hot to the touch and is warm like the originals I have had. In fact the only real difference is that the original bricks are slightly smaller and boxier than this one.Overall another recommended KFD replacement power supply.

I got this because I took a trip to my hometown for my sisters wedding, and after coming back to college realized I FORGOT MY CHARGER! I was super freaked out because I take my notes, write papers, do research, all on my precious laptop. After realizing my mistake I ordered this. The little box doesn't overheat like I was worried about. The cord is about the length you would expect. Honestly, for the price, and the fast shipping, I am way beyond content with this product. Saved me from having to make trips to the college library

I was drawn to this by the photo of the charger in use with the cable all neat and tidy.MY HP laptop does already have a charger but the cable is all over the place and because there are other things at my desk also needing plugging in, the cable gets entangled in everything and drags on the socket.The connector for this new power supply is exactly the same as on the original charger.I checked the specs of my laptop to be sure it was compatible and it is the same 19.5volt , the amps are not so critical, providing the charger can equal or exceed the amps specified, it should work as the laptop takes the amps that it needs even if more are available..The info is printed on the label on the laptop incase you need to check yours and dont have the old charger to read it from.The way the cable stays around the power brick is with a little rubber clip.You can undo just enough cable to reach from the desk to your computer and then clip the rest tidily in place.That means you arent plugging in a cable that then hangs all it weight down from the power connector on your computer , to the floor or mid air, which could stress the socket.The brick doesnt get any warmer than the original power brick does.A good replacement if you have lost or broken the original.
