Yes, it can hold 50lb, maybe a bit more. I would distribute the weight evenly to prevent the straps from popping.

Q: can you see through them?

No. They are very sturdy and thick. Will hold as much as an 18 gallon container. Highly recommended. Used for moving, clothes,sheets, comforters etc.. will use for storage after moving. .. well worth the money.

Q: Can you put shoe boxes in these? If so, about how many can you fit?

This is what I was coming to ask. I’m moving and I have over 200 pairs of shoes with their boxes and I need something that can hold a good amount, since my Jeep doesn’t have THAT much room for 7+ extra large Home Depot boxes that I do have now. Any updates on if shoeboxes + how many fit?
