Careful it does get very hot!
I used this to cut foam pumpkins. It worked great. Highly recommended.

Perfect to cut through foam board
I used this to to do character cutouts for my daughters first birthday. I used it to cut through a Walgreens banner and the foam board I spray glued underneath. It cut through it with ease and it didn't burn my paper. There wasn't a strong smell unless I left it on a certain piece for too long. The price is fair and the design is easy.

Its a hazard, is useless, smells nasty and is probably carcinogenic, and I should have known better
I gave this tool NO stars because the heat it generates also melts the handle, it just so happens the system does not allow NO stars. This 'tool' is an instant fail. I cannot use a tool that when turned on, destroys itself, which is what it did. With the carcinogenic smell wafting into the wind, so too did my hard earned money.

Makes cutting foam board easier — just hard to control
This hot knife cutter heats up quickly and it definitely cuts foam board easily. I used it for a big project making a bunch of stand-up 12–36” character boards for a Halloween event at my work, and it made cutting the boards way easier and faster compared to using a regular blade. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s hard to control the exact cutting line, especially when you’re trying to get perfectly clean borders. Mine turned out good overall, but not perfectly “crisp”/exact around every edge. That said, I would still buy it again and definitely recommend it for anyone doing large craft projects, decorations, or foam board builds — it saves a lot of time and effort.

Used for cutting a hole in hvac hard plastic box to replace heater door in Camaro---did the job

The circuitry inside fried within 45min of its first use, aka cheap AF. I want my money back.

Does not work, ordered for my business now I’m losing money
Item did not work. Opened box, set up the tool and plugged in. Did not work or heat up and now it’s costing my business money as I have to order a new one and wait for shipping times again. Poor product and service.
