Purchased to use as a soil cover for preventative pest mitigation (gnats), in addition to treating the topsoil with bonide. I love the way this mulch looks, and it’s still easy to check actual soil moisture beneath the mulch layer - I only added about 1/2” to 1” of mulch, but as advised by the product description, I’ll have to keep an eye out for any issues in the actual soil.The product and packaging is high quality, compared to some of the other products I’ve received on Amazon, and I love that the bag is resealable. I also prefer this mulch over sand (which I used for my succulent/cacti), as it stays in place, and doesn’t get easily mixed into the soil.One bag of mulch was plenty for covering the soil on ~10 plants (range of 6”-10” pots), and I still have 1/4 of a bag left.

I used this fine mulch for my porch planters. This bag will cover 2- 14" pots.I will use next year too!

I'll admit, I'm not a mulcher. In fact this would be my second time mulching so my experiences are seared into my brain and easily recalled upon. This time was a little different. We went indoors for the mulch and I was pretty excited to open the bag and let her rip so to speak. Upon opening the bag, a generous amount of dust particles whooshed into the air clinging onto anything dark they could find. I tried dispersing the mulch using very shallow motions as not to let more dust out but nay, my efforts were thwarted once again. Thankfully I didn't need that much mulch(try saying that three times in a row)and was finished before the dust settled(pun intended). Me being the absolute clean freak I am began to dust and vacuum the area where the mulch particles escaped forming an impromptu no-go zone to keep the schnauzers from interfering with my cleanup. I was able to finish in due time and then it hit me. How about misting the mulch? I dunno, I replied in my head. So I got out from the chair, emptied the vacuum cleaner, returned it to it's designated parking space, and got the spray bottle from the laundry room. I keep one in there filled with water but that's a story for another time. So I took the bottle and ran back to my plant. Would it work, I asked silently in my head. One of the schnauzers said "of course it will" or at least that's what it sounded like to me, so I aimed at the mulch ever so carefully and......foosh foosh. A light mist settled on the surface like the morning dew. Foosh foosh. I sprayed some more, foosh foosh again, foosh, again and again until I was lost in some crazed mulching multiverse. It wasn't until my cat came up to me and asked me what the hell I was doing spraying that vile liquid so carelessly about. Water has been known to kill cats on contact or at least that's what the cat consensus is. It's good to be in the loop of these things from time to time. Once my senses returned to their normal duties I saw what appeared to be some wet mulch in the pot, resting ever so delicately above the soil until....foosh foosh🙀🙀

Perfect for covering my potted plants instead of moss. Perfect sized bag for keeping under my sink too! I went to home Depot and the bags were all giant sized and too big... I only needed a small amount since I live in a studio so we're tight on space.

Happy I purchased this! It really does elevate the look of my plant babies. Not to mention it's the perfect size to keep under my apartment sink - so sick of having to store giant bags of mulch. Will definitely be purchasing again.

This is some of the best mulch I've used for the price! Also love the fact that the bag is resealable! Helps keep it nice and fresh. I use it on my indoor plants (specifically my monsteras) to help retain some moisture. The key is to lightly apply it and not compact it.Bonus, if my dog happens to come across it she'll just sniff mulch instead of soil!I love the ease of use. All you need is about a handful of two, depending on the size of the plant/pot. Combine it with some pebbles or rocks, and you've got the makings of prime aesthetic for your house plants too!Shipping was fast and easy as well. I can't find any complaints at all and will definitely purchase again. Surprisingly not as messy as I would've thought as well! (because mulch can be a mess)Also goes without saying, but pls don't eat mulch*

Not a good value. Small bag for the price. Large chips. Wanted it for my container roses.
