Plastic breaks EASILY
I think I already wrote a review a while ago but idk how to find it to update it like I see others do.I didn’t get a fake product or a replica or something nothing like the picture like Amazon LOVES to do to everyone. I have never had that happen to me but I KNOW it happens.I thought this crate was a cute color and cheap and big enough for my frenchie. Whom respectfully would never try to escape her crate.I’ve had this crate since September 20, 2022. Used it for a car ride up to Maine and back 6hrs total, and 2 nights while up there.I haven’t used it for it’s intended purpose since. It was just to travel with anyway, a quick fix.Right away I had missing parts. I contacted the seller, I was nice, they were SUPER NICE and I received replacement right away. Just the parts. However, the plastic turn locks on both the bottom and the top for the door do not work properly. They open and close as they should but the metal door doesn’t stay in the slots designated for them. Plastic isn’t firm so when you pick up the crate, with out dog, it droops maybe a few millimeters and it sometimes pops out.I can pull the door out very easily when it’s locked as well, I’m not a strong female either. The dial like locks to latch the top to the bottom, they don’t always catch the plastic bar they are intended to slide over if you don’t pay attention to how lined up they are, understandable but still annoying when you’re use to metal everything and more durable harder plastic and things that latch closed instead of turn dials. My complaint on these:I have a THREE POUND RABBIT. He’s so fn cute!! A lovable tyrant but I don’t care until I’m asleep at night. Where he randomly thumps through out. Not every night. Rain, snow, hot, cold, windy, stormy, if I’m up late or go to bed early.. doesn’t matter in case you think it might be weather changes or me being noisy.. nope. I think he’s having bad dreams and thumps in his sleep. He lives in my bedroom at night. Normally rabbits are more active at night but he isn’t at all. The thumping scares the crap out of me.I sleeps in a small 3x5ft crate, 3ft tall, and has the run of whatever room I’m currently in throughout the day.To keep this crate in use, if he thumps, it has hay as a very thick bedding ready for him if he thumps. It has high walls as you can see so no messes from him with his hay. Well he thumps, normally sometime after 3am, I am scared awake, if I go back to sleep after telling him to stop(put I know, stupid right lol, rabbits listening to that) he will do it for the rest of the early morning until 7am when I decide to get up. Can’t have that.So I take him out his enclosure to this crate and move him to the hallway, close my door. He seems to stop thumping then, but he’s in the hallway in case he does, it will be muffled.Well tonight he thumped like crazy, in the crate he went. Mind you, he’s only 3 pounds. This thing is suppose to hold my 25lb dog about 12k for everyone else. The dial lock on the side broke. The piece it slides over just broke. So now the metal door that already doesn’t stay well in it’s crappy holes, won’t stay up at all.I do not man handle this crate. I’m very easy with it because I know it’s so fragile. You can tell immediately when you get it. Now I’m forced to prop the door side against the wall so it doesn’t pop forward out. I ended up taping that side with FedUp shipping tap.. from my job. I’ll need to use duct tape because that’s what this crate will call for. I’ll have to tape up the entire seam of it. One weak pillar sends the whole house down.Things have been chipping off of this weak plastic crate since I got it. The locking door pieces don’t even stay in THEIR own holes either!.. nothing fits properly. The molds they made the parts from, they put too much plastic in it, it seeped over but no one shaved it down smooth. This is good for a cat use to a crate, whom won’t bother to escape at all. It’s a crate not meant to be picked up with or without 3lbs in it.It’s a crate made to transport a few birds to the vet, or an arm length lizard, or a snake wider than a quarter or a rat or two..Tips. Pre tape all seams or gorilla glue it.Don’t expect to carry it normal because the handle isn’t made well either. If you need to carry, HOLD FROM THE BOTTOM.and do not use for long periods of time.I also do not use this crate every time my rabbit thumps. Sometimes he does stop on his own. So I’ve maybe gently used this crate 1x a week since September for the rabbit.

Our Baby Girl Didn’t Cry
Our sweet Yorkie has been getting up in the night and doing no nos. This will not do and I don’t really want to send her to a new home. She is too sweet, other than not using the doggie door to relieve herself outside. So I bought her the kennel to retrain and correct a bad habit. Thought she would cry when first put in it, but no she went right to sleep. I think the kennel is going to work!!!

Cat transport: Great value for the price!
I bought several of these carriers to donate to the local cat shelter. The carriers are lightweight, easy to assemble, and perfect for transporting cats or kittens. I had an issue with one of the handles being defective, and customer service at the company was very responsive and helpful. They sent me the replacement part within days. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

Inspect before moving across the country
Bought this to transport my pet rats across the US. I hadn't opened it yet as I wouldn't need it til the end of the month but now that I've opened it I realized it was damaged and i don't have time to get it replaced. This is my fault and I won't blame the company for it. Other than the crack the quality is surprisingly decent for the price. It will definitely work for small pets

Very good
It is very easy to assemble and it hasn't came apart with my kitties growing up and gaining weight within. It is also very useful as a hiding spot for your cats to get use to it so when we are going to the vet they don't feel anxious.

Great little carrier for the price
Easy assembly. The only problem I encountered was there were two holes in the back of the carrier that looked as though it should have a bolt or connector to secure the back. I remedied that by using a couple of small bolts with washers that I had. Carrier works great for my 15 pound cat now.

nice size for small animal
I expected the top/bottom to be secured with nuts/bolts. Haven't used it yet. It doesn't feel real secure but it may work very well for my small\petite cat. Reviews say it holds up to 25 lbs so...

Good mid-range carrier for occasional local travel (not plane safe)
Overall good carrier. The shell is solide. First time I lifted the carrier with the cat inside though, the crate disassembled ! So make sure all those plastic parts are attached correctly. Once I got all those pieces snapped together well, it is a good spacious crate. My cat is 15 lbs and he can sit up with a tiny bend in his neck. I worry the handle will not last thought. It is a fixed thin plastic handle. It slightly bends when lifting my cat (15 lbs). Also, there are no hinges on the handle like my previous carrier making it a little less comfortable to walk with it without tilting kitty sideways. The door is also a little different from previous carriers I owned: you have to move a little plastic piece to unlock the door, I feel with time the piece will wear and the door will become loose. The door is not a "pinch -type" release like normal carriers. It still gets the job done to go to the vet, but if you carry your kitty often, I think this carte will won't last. PROS: no tool needed to assemble, good price point, the plastic had NO smell what so ever. CONS: All plastic parts except the door. Thin fixed handle. Not for daily use.

Basic and Functional
Easy to assemble and sturdy enough for my small rabbits, but I noticed scuff marks on the lid, as if the item was perhaps used before, or marred prior to shipping. They aren’t unsightly enough to warrant returning the item, but more care in packaging to ensure the product arrives unmarked cost the seller a couple of points in my review

It does the job but expected way better quality from Midwest TBH
Midwest Homes for Pets Spree Travel Carrier, 22-Inch, RedThis is a super basic plastic crate that is a fair size for toy dogs. It is all-plastic with a metal cage door. Build quality is average and not fantastic for the money. You can get an all-metal collapsible cage for around this price too. I chose plastic because of its light weight and portability. The top red half just "snaps" to the bottom with mere 2 twistlock buttons. I dont feel like this is very secure because these snaps dont feel snug. I end up holding the bin with a hand on the bottom. I dont know why it is engineered so loosely. The inside isnt flat. just exposes the mold of the shape of the bottom of the bin. It wouldve been nicer to have had a flat base for the puppy. Also the packaging is poor as it puts a tap on the bottom to hold the manual. Well why? The tape leaves a residue and doesnt cleanly come off so now i need rubbing alcohol to remove the sticky tape. Come on!It does NOT come with a shoulder strap but it does have a cheap plastic loop that again isnt held up well. The two strap loops are also plastic and just get inserted loosely into two holes. Any weight on this loop, it IS prone to just falling out. Why? This really really is poor design. I kind of expected better for such a reputable company Midwest!!!The metal cage door can be opened left side or right side or completely removed. In the end, sure , it does the job..... but as i was saying, i expected better quality at this pricepoint from a reputable company.
