This novel in particular was great for me because 1) the plot is not all that complicated, it's pretty easy to follow along even if you don't know 10% of the words; 2) the chapters are short so you never hesitate to pick up the book to try to get through at least one of them; and 3) if you've read one of the many previous books by Dan Brown you'll already have some background on the characters so it's much less daunting for a non-native speaker than your average 600 page book. Also, I'm big into science and history, so I found the details of the plot (which I won't give away) to be extremely relevant and thought provoking.
