Excellent unit...works great....no rust, but have only had it for a month.
Pros:Correct temps. with each setting.Convenient chart to correctly brew different types of tea and coffee by.Keep warm feature (for that temp. for up to two hours), even after you have poured a cup.Clearly visible fill chart when refilling.Cons:Handle is not that comfortable when holding or pouring from the unit.Overall a great pot. Have not had it more than a month, but have put it thru it's paces. So far no rust has been seen (as in other reviews on other stainless steel units). There are different grades of stainless steel on the market and some of the low grade stainless steel that is used will rust over time. After one month of daily use, I have not seen any rust in this unit. The water that I use in my unit is first sent thru a triple filtration system, so it most likely doesn't have any Iron (or very low amount of Iron) in the water that is being used. The operations of the unit is straight forward after you figure out how it works. One can not just "press" the temp that they want. It has to be selected by pressing the "set" button many times so it can cycle thru the different temps until one gets to the temp they want to use. The "keep warm" feature is nice, but it only works for two hours and stops working. The picture on the side of the box that shows the temp for each tea is nice. Too bad this picture was not included (inside the box as a separate sheet of paper) as a reference. Found myself cutting out the image on the side of the box for a quick reference. My only "complaint" about the unit is the handle. For myself, it "feels" odd when you pick up the unit just by the handle. I'm not sure what causes it, but my guess is that it might be the width of the handle. It does seem to be a bit wider than other units I have used.Overall, a great unit that does what it should on a regular basis....just hope it doesn't start to rust in the next month or two.

Definitely Meets the Needs for Which I Bought It
A coffee drinker in the morning and a tea drinker in the afternoon and evening, I started looking for an electric kettle with automatic shut off the second time I got so involved in computer work I forgot about a kettle boiling on the stove. Once I started comparing electric kettles with automatic shut off, I found some had additional desirable features. This Epica kettle had the most for the price:1. 30 minute stay-warm feature. I liked that for me, and also for times when friends who enjoy tea would come to visit. Water stays warm for a while without having to heat more for each cup of tea.2. The variable temperature capability was appealing for times when friends, some of whom prefer French press coffee while others prefer teas, visit. A pot of French press coffee can be made using the temperature for that, and then a fresh pot of water heated for tea.3. The pot is attractive sitting out on the kitchen counter, and does not have to be put away when not in use.4. The kettle is easy to keep clean.Having used the kettle for a while now, there are other features, some of which have been noted by other reviewers, I would like to see when Epica brings out an updated version. A beep or other audible signal of some sort would be nice when the set temperature is reached. As it is now, the Start light just goes out. I would also like a signal when the stay-warm feature turns off.The cord length is fine for use in the kitchen. I had hoped to use the kettle in the dining room and/or family room when I had guests. The cord does not reach any of the plugs in either of those rooms. Rather than using an extension cord, I will keep the kettle in the kitchen, but a longer cord would be a nice feature. The Epica kettle definitely meets the needs for which I bought it. I gave it four stars because I would like to see additional features in an updated version. But I can easily recommend it to anyone looking for a variable temperature electric kettle with automatic shut-off and stay-warm features at a reasonable price.Update June 4, 2017 - Five StarsAfter using this kettle at least once daily from the time of my first review, I have changed my rating from Four Star to Five Star. It is one of the most used appliances in my kitchen, and I have had no problems with it. For a time it was unavailable with Amazon Prime and was being sold for double what I paid for it. Now that it is back with Amazon Prime and at the price I paid for it, I recommend it for anyone looking for an electric kettle with very useful features at a reasonable price.

great kettle ! also, some notes about the keep warm function.
Newly purchased, so will edit appropriately after a few months but right now I love it !I am going to do a tl;dr for the 'keep warm ' button here.I saw many people write there is no light to indicate this so maybe this will give some clarity. You need to press " start +set ( if you want any other temp other than 212 )+ keep warm button" . You will see all three light up. When the cycle ends and the water reaches the selected temperature , all three lights will continue to stay on while the 'keep warm' button will be a blinking red light. So this is an indication for the next 2 hours there is a blinking red light and whenever temperature drops you will hear a low rumble where the kettle restarts and temperature is brought back up to the pre selected temperature. Any time during these 2 hours, when you remove the kettle off the base the memory stays for 2 minutes , I am yet to try this whole 2 minute thing but I remove it pour water into my mug and return it back and it goes back to the same keep warm blinking light setting from memory.I am unsure about buildup and the opening is going to bit tricky to wash. so all this is TBD.Good quality kettle, very quick and as loud as any other comparable kettle. I definitely could taste the difference in my tea, I realized how much the apricot creme flavor sucks after I used the right temperature to steep it in, so it works proper .. I guess ??!!
