This Gas Cap has cleared out my error codes on my 2013 Ford F150.

Works well on my 2011 F150.

I was told that I was going to have to spend $1,000 in parts and labor on a new fuel filler neck for my 2008 Ford Explorer because of an EVAP leak where you place the fuel nozzle into the vehicle. The little trap door in the top of the fuel filler neck was not sealing properly. I cleaned the little trap door's seal but the plastic knobs that keep it from opening so somebody can still fuel were broke off. This might have been part of the reason why it was not sealing? For me to buy the fuel filler neck from an aftermarket parts shop was going to cost me at least 350 bucks plus my own labor.I placed some thin rubber gasket material and Toyota FIPG sealant on the back of this cap and it passed the smog tests with flying colors!!hopefully the smog police aren't reading this and try to come after me. What an absolute ludicrous system in which I was going to have to pay a thousand bucks for something that ultimately cost me less than $30 in materials to fix. I even let the gasket material stick out beyond the cap about an eighth of an inch just to make sure I had a good seal.Good luck and buy this part with confidence. I kept the original packaging material just in case I needed to show the smog shop that it was a Ford authorized part. They didn't even seem to care.
