Mount alarm magnetic contact cancelled terminals Review: Works as secondary magnet for Ring Window and door sensors - I purchased this item just for the magnet half which I wanted to use as a secondary contact point to add to my Ring Window and Door Sensors so that I could still arm the alarm but leave the windows slightly ajar. The magnet half works perfectly for this and buying buying them like this saved me over 50% from what Ring wants for their extra contact magnet. Overall great deal. It does not come with the mounting tape to adhere to the window frames, only screws, so you will need to provide your own tape. Review: Magnets absolutely work with (my) wireless system - Some previous reviews stated that these magnets do not work with wireless window sensors. Well, they certainly work with my Cove security system window sensors. Having no AC, we need to keep some windows open for some fresh cool air. These magnets allow the window to be open just enough to allow air in, but not enough for anyone to fit through, and satisfying the control panel that the window is closed. I also lay a piece of wood dowel in the window track to keep the window from opening further for good measure. Just get some 3M exterior mounting tape, and stick these magnets wherever they're needed. The price is the main reason I got these and not the oem magnets, $15/10pcs vs $15 for one sensor/magnet combo. These work great, so I live with the slightly mismatched look.

Easy to install and good value for money.
The magnetic contacts were quick and easy to install and came with mounting screws though I used silicone to attach them to the windows. They were a little bigger than my previous contacts but installed easily and worked first try. Simple installation process.

Color Description!!
This product would have worked with the Honeywell security system. BUT, nowhere in the description does it state the color of the contacts. The picture shows white, but brown contacts were sent. Nor is there an option to select a color. Good product but description needs work!! Stars off for that issue!

Used only the magnet part and it worked
I wanted to add a 2nd contact point on my window alarm so that when It is constantly open in the summer when the window A/C unit is installed I could still alarm the window. The magnet worked exactly as it should. Now if someone kicks in my A/C and moves the window to come in the alarm will go off. Will also work great during those cool fall and spring months when you just want to leave the window open during the day/night and still have your alarm set. I used a command sticker to attach the magnet so I could easily remove the magnet if I needed it in a better spot.

Doesn’t work with wired Honeywell alarm system
I need a magnet for a window that was miss one. I live in a 27 yr old house with a wired Honeywell system.... I saw a question someone answered about using this on their system and it worked. Well, not on mine! I will have to call my alarm company for a replacement..... I should of done that to begin with!!! Waste of money for me:(

Buy and install these with confidence! 15 years of experience with these....
Very easy to install. We use a little double-sided tape/adhesive to hold in place either permanently or until set screws can be installed. Housing for reed switch has several wiring knockouts for wire routing, as well as easy but solid connection points. We've been utilizing these for 15 years in our homes and businesses without a single failure nor DOA. We have even installed these as sub- surface mount as they have an excellent magnet proximity detection. Buy and install these with confidence!
