I have been damaging my hair using heat curlers or "wands" and needed to give it a break. I ordered these because they didn't have the little "teeth" that are on so many curlers that not only them uncomfortable to sleep on but tear at the hair. These have a smooth surface and the cover attaches firmly. Not so uncomfortable either. They work best when the hair is dampened first. Another plus is that they are not expensive. The foam clip on rollers that I tried are a joke - the snap closures break easily.

Very nice definitely hard to get to hang out, but it takes everyone a bit to get there.

Holds the hair great

Lost most of my hair in the last year due to surgery, multiple blood transfusions and medication reactions. I had to cut my hair very short and also give up using chemicals. My hair is naturally curly, about a 3 or 4c. These rollers work well, but the professional magnetic rollers are slightly longer. So you may have to use more of these than you expect. I took off a star because one of the covers was broken right out of the package and the rollers do not fit snug with the cover. I am a licensed cosmetologist, so I have the correct roller clips for these type of rollers, Annie Slide-In Clips, 80 Count. Any other clips are for pin curls. I used the slide-in clips to keep the rollers in place. I wrapped my hair with a satin scarf and slept on the rollers. When I woke up and took the rollers out, my hair was curled nicely. I could have purchased the next size up, but I wanted to make sure the curlers wouldn't fall off and they worked out fine. I also liked the black color. I have my old professional colorful magnetic rollers from cosmetology school from over 30 years ago. This was my first set of black. Magnetic rollers work well if you understand how to use them and they are easier to clean because they are hard plastic. They are called magnetic because the hair cling to the roller when wet. Use a little gel or mousse if you wish to have a stronger hold. Makes any hair type look better but does wonders to create a smoother hairstyle for curly hair. Use the largest roller the hair can fit for straighter looking styles.

Makes nice curls but they fall out easily. They are loose you NEED clips if you want them to Stay in place.

I'm not sure about other sizes, but this size is impossible to make fit comfortably. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length. I bought a previous set of these rollers, but these are better quality especially if you use them with end papers. I cannot for the life of me think where I put the previous rollers. Its not like they could get up and walk, so I can only assume that they rolled away.
