KutaniYaki(ware) Coffee Mug Sunny Place

I must say this first. The cup is small. Probably around 6-8 oz. But I find that it would be perfect for small servings of tea and coffee. It kinda tricks my brain into thinking I'm drinking more coffee than what I am because of how many times I go to refill. The small size allows me to finish the coffee off first before it gets cold and the rest of the coffee to stay on the hot plate that is my coffee pot.The design of the cup, mainly around the rim, is sort of weird to work around. If you're not careful then it's easy to spill some of your drink.The handle itself is sort of awkward to hold, do those with larger hands might have a hard time with it. I actually wish it didn't have the handle as the cup is a perfect fit in my hand. But the material does get hot.The cup arrived completely intact, which I was worried about due to the material, no cracks or chips in sight. I know some people have noticed that the design is not handpainted due to the designs looking very similar. But that's not a problem for me.I'm not exactly sure if it is microwaveable or dishwasher safe, the 'thank you' and 'product overview" cards came in Japanese, so unless you can read kanji you might have to look it up. Overall. Good cup.

The shape of the mug is interesting! The rim is not even, but that is obviously intentional, it gives off this hand-made vintage feel. Design looked great and feels good to hold!

If you are expecting an American-size mug, you will be disappointed. Keep in mind, this was made by an artisan from Japan. This is a small [small] mug meant for a nice tea or specialty coffee to be sipped at leisure, not guzzled in the hour before heading out to work. It's very cute.

This mug is so sweet for cat lovers. It is hand crafted and very special.

Ok, I had an earlier review in which I gave this wonderful lady a 1 star! Please disregard that rating! I cannot figure out how to remove it! My problem was with the shipping only! I have 3 pieces of art from this woman, and they are amazing! Her work is impeccable! I highly recommend her work 100%! I definitely would order more pieces form her again!
